Introduction: I am a math tutor, from elementary level to college level. I have a strong interest in math and have been good at it since I was a child. Two years ago, I finished my undergraduate study in China, majoring in financial engineering and minoring in applied mathematics. After that, I came to Chicago to pursue a master's degree in mathematical finance at Illinois Institute of Technology. I'm an easygoing person who is very logical and likes helping others. When I was in primary school, my math teacher asked me to help my classmates who had problems with math by coaching them after class. Most of them made a lot of progress with my help. I was chosen to be the math representative when I was in middle school and high school. Sometimes the math teacher would ask me to go in front of the room and show the students in the exercise class how to solve the difficult problems in their homework. Also, I helped the children in the neighborhood with their math lessons a lot. I have helped others with a wide range of topics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, statistics, etc. I have experience in tutoring children and teenagers. I understand that different people solve problems in different ways, and my approach is personalized, listening to my student's ideas on the puzzle and helping them to make it work. The way I could help you best is not only teaching you how to solve certain math problems but also figuring out the ways for you to work on similar problems.
