- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lots of internet research as well as seminars and webinars from well known and experienced makeup artists.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Makeup and photography have been a passion of mine since early high school. Actually my very first memory of makeup was when an artist gave an assembly at my kindergarten school; they showed us how to do special FX makeup on our hand, and I sure did go home and practice! I'll never forget that :)
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for formal training and experience. Many makeup artists are self taught and don't have much experience.
