Mr. C. Carson S.

Faux Finishing or Painting

Tracy is a gifted and talented artist. She communicates well and was committed to developing a shared understanding with us regarding the objective/ targeted outcome for the project. She transformed our fireplace surround from a visually busy outdated dark green marble to a beautifully understated and elegant white Carrara surround. We are very well pleased; thank you, Tracy.

Faux Finishing or Painting

I could have chosen all 5 qualities when describing Tracy but, was only allowed 3! She was a terrific find. She knew exactly what I was looking for...and actually went above and beyond my expectations. Her ability as an artist shown through during the antiquing process she applied to my China hutch...she literally changed it from a lovely brown piece of furniture to something spectacular!! I cannot recommend her more highly!

Working with Tracy was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She took the time to visit our site and design a mural that was perfect for our gift shop at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Her beautiful, thoughtful addition to the space truly enhanced the experience for visitors to the gift shop.

Tracy really helped us with an unusual project. We needed a hand painted rendering of a sophisticated design pattern on our eyewear product. She absolutely knocked it out of the park. The level of detail was just phenomenal. Even the ($1B brand) we made the prototype for was highly impressed. You would have thought it was printed. She was very communicative, positive, and easy to work with. We will absolutely be asking her to help us on any projects in the future. Highly recommend her!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I do not charge for the initial consultation/visit. Once we've established what the details of the project are I will determine whether or not I will carry out the work alone or hire assistance. I will then put together a quote that includes supplies and time-line. I charge .56 per mile.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My process for working with a new customer begins with verbal communication about the project in order for me to know if I can help them. I'll ask for pictures either via text or email, or offer to come and see the space (if applicable).

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started my art career in Chicago in 1996 after attending the Art Institute of Chicago. Since then I've been creating artwork professionally for various businesses, and residential customers.
