Introduction: I have been a certified personal trainer for over four years and have worked with all age groups ranging from 12 year olds up to 85 years old. My main specialty involves more functional movement training that includes uses varieties of exercise equipment, such as kettlebells, dumbbells, TRX bands, resistance bands and even just bodyweight exercises. My secondary focus is building muscle and toning to improve overall strength and body physique. The first session involves sitting down and getting to know you. It is a way for me to learn about what your goals are, what your nutrition is like, what exercises you likes/dislikes, and what your health history (injuries, family health, etc). Then I'll have the client perform some specific exercises just to see how the body moves. for example, how their squat form is. from that I can see what needs to be addressed if needed. Then I'll develop an exercise schedule specific for you based on all our results. Each week, depending on what you want from me, I will send out an exercise routine for the week, tips about what dietary needs need to be addressed, and what lifestyle changes we can improve. When I was working at a gym in Chicago, I had between 20-30 clients, averaging around 120-130 sessions a month. What makes me a good trainer is my compassion. I spend the time to listen to my clients. If they weren't comfortable with something we were doing, I've been able to change the routine on the fly and still prove results. It's about the client's happiness that drives me. Are they happy with the routine today and are they seeing the results? First session is more of a learning session to see how the body moves. if there's something I see and it needs to be address I'll be up front with the client. we can't do the things we want to do until that is addressed properly. last thing I want to do is put the client at risk of injury. My price per session is $50/hr if you are just looking for training. For more in depth training that involves nutrition and exercise schedule, I do monthly rate of $300/month. that includes 2 training sessions with it. you can always buy more sessions during the month. I do give rewards to clients if they talk to their friends or colleagues and those people sign up for my services, I discount the client. I also do bulk sessions so if you buy a 12-pack the session would be $40/session. What I enjoy about personal training is the ability to help all age groups accomplish their goals and live a happier life. Nothing gives me great pleasure then seeing a client see the changes in themselves when they are home and seeing those old clothes fit them again or the compliments they receive from others how good they look.
