- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Free Introductory Lesson for first time students. Skype or FaceTime lessons also available. Regular pricing starting at $40 for one half hour lesson. Special introductory rates are available for brand new customers. Subscription packages are also available. Online payments only. For more information and to schedule an appointment go to our website to register.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? For brand new students I offer a free sample lesson to give them a chance to come in (or Skype/Facetime) and try a lesson with me first. In that sample lesson, we have a chance to talk, sing and get to know each other a little better. I also provide a packet of additional information such as lesson pricing, my teaching system and coupons for future lessons. I'm very serious about singers finding the right teacher because private lessons are a significant investment, so I provide a means for students to make the best possible decision for themselves.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a B.A. in Music from North Park University with several years of private study under such master coaches as tenor David Holloway and Randy Buescher of the Your True Voice studio. My continuing education has included level one certification in Somatic Voicework -The LoVetri Method - which is a program training vocal teachers and coaches in methods for Contemporary Commercial Music. I am also a member of The National Association of Teachers Of Singing which provides continuing research in the field of vocal science and education.
