Wendie was an excellent tutor. Easy to schedule with and found a time and convenient location close to home. My son's score went up several points from the first time he took the ACT (before tutoring). His Reading score had a big increase send his math score went up dramatically too. My son mentioned that the tutoring also helped him in his math class at school. I would definitely hire Wendi again.

When I first met with Swadeep I was failing my Calculus 1 class and had four weeks left before the final. He helped me pass with a final grade of C. He has also been invaluable in helping me not only pass Calculus 2, but understanding math concepts, from basic ones I did not learn in earlier to classes to the ones I needed to succeed in Calculus 2. I highly recommend Swadeep as a math tutor, he makes you work hard and believes in not only his expertise but the students capability.

My daughter who is in high school started seeing Laura last year when she was struggling in her math class. She had seen two or three previous tutors who didn't work out because they made the material more confusing or they couldn't figure out the math themselves. My daughter was hesitant to go to another tutor. Laura has been wonderful! She knows math, loves it, and can teach and explain even complicated math concepts. She is flexible with setting times to meet and always is encouraging. I would highly recommend her!

Renjie and I worked together over the course of two months in preparation for a GRE test. We had long sessions (3 hours) each time, but Renjie was focused and prepared and all the breaks we took were on my account. I took two Statistics courses in university, but aside from this hadn't taken any math classes since high school, so I focused all of my hours with Renjie in math. He has all of the hard skills that a good teacher/tutor needs: he has a deep knowledge of math and used repertoire of teaching strategies to help me learn. The teaching and learning strategies Renjie shared with me in math make it so I'm confident in saying I know he has the same skills for verbal reasoning in the GRE (specially) or vocabulary more generally. More than this, Renjie is kind, understanding, friendly, and easy to connect with. Both Renjie and I had traveled and worked abroad for a number of years and so it was fun to share stories in between problem solving. I got accepted into my graduate program of choice, got a full scholarship and a stipend to be a Graduate Teaching Assistance. It was a pleasure working with Renjie and I would recommend him to any who have an interest in improving their scores on a variety on tests, or to improve their performance in school at all levels.

Steve is a wonderful tutor. After only 6 lessons with Steve, our son was able to earn a composite score of 34 the first (and only) time he took the ACT, including 35's in Science and Math. Our son was so happy to have worked with Steve before sitting for the ACT,as he now has the ACT behind him and can focus on his classes and other school activities, rather than on testing and test prep. We very much appreciated how comfortable our son was working with Steve and how confident he felt going into the test.

I just took the GMAT this morning and received a fabulous score! A big thank you goes out to Jim for helping me overcome specific weaknesses. I really appreciate your patience and guidance during our tutoring sessions. You also helped improve my mental math skills and taught me how to think outside of the box on complex questions. Thank you! The GMAT books that John recommended were also a huge help. I think every student trying to score about a 700 should purchase these books. The GMAT Club questions were also good, but I found they were almost too hard. The actual test was not nearly as difficult as the GMAT Club quant questions were. I also found that number properties were a bigger portion of the test than I originally anticipated. I would suggest students focus on this and not only concentrate on the super tricky word problems.

We are still using Guy for a few more weeks but we couldn't be happier. His tutoring style is very patient and thorough with repetition. Especially with the Math subjects this is extremely important to students who struggle to be able to learn at a comfortable pace and not feel so overwhelmed. Since hiring Guy my daughter has been getting better grades on her homework and quizzes. We still have the final to go but I am confident that the results we were hoping for will be attained. She just needs to finish the class with a C or better in order for it to count as transfer credits and hopefully this will be the last math class she will ever have to take, if not we will be hiring Guy again.

Mr. Patel was an excellent teacher! He was very clear and explained the topics I needed help in. I learned what I did in a semester in a few classes with him and I understood so much better. He's a really good teacher.

LAW Methods

I came to Law Methods desparate for help after several months of poor admissions consulting and overpriced phone tutoring with supposed experts; consequently, I stumpled upon the reasonably priced Law Methods with skepticism. Thankfully, working with Law Methods has completely changed how I look at the law school admissions process, not to mention my goals in getting into a great law school instead of settling on wherever would take me. They've been awesome for LSAT tutoring, general admissions strategy, and drafting solid personal statements and optional esssays. I would know--I paid around $4000 for an atrocious personal statement, a resume that was too long and didn't showcase how well-rounded I was, and an LSAT score that was 7 points below my goal!!! Below are a few things I'd like to metion about my experience with Law Methods that made them stand out: 1. They will PUSH you to do your best, which is what a great company should do. A great deal of experts like it when you don't have too many drafts of personal statements, as it's less work for them. I had someone who was giving me one word answers for optional essays, like, "Great!" Even I knew they weren't great, and that scared me. 2. They care about where you want to go and are honest about how much work you will need to do to get in. Face it, many of these experts will get you into law school, but they don't say where. Law Methods prides itself on getting candidates into GOOD law schools! When I said I really wanted to go to a top school, they made me work like a top law school student has to. For the first time in the admission process, I actually felt like I was going to get into a good school and had a lot to offer a law school class. 3. They all went to the top schools where they try to place their clients. I felt a lot more comfortable working with someone who got into Northwestern than someone who went to a regional school in Florida or South Dakota and was telling me how to get into Northwestern. 4. They make themselves available in case of an emergency, and they will check up on you when they don't hear from you. When I stopped emailing my last consultant (who cost $3400), she never even bothered to call and ask me what happened. The people at Law Methods treat you like a client, not a paycheck, which is the best part of working with them:) 5. They make sure all their candiates come across as diverse and well-rounded. Before Law Methods, my application was pretty lackluster; I am now exceptionally proud of my accomplishments and am happy I got the opportunity to showcase them with an appropriate level of modesty. I HIGHLY recommend Law Methods for tutoring and admissions counsulting. I have personally worked with Brenden, Steve, Meghan and David, and all are execptional at what they do and genuinely great people. If you are serious about improving your LSAT score or having a winning application, then please talk to Law Methods before settling on a slick brochure or fancy "expert" website. They are never forceful and will not sell you what you don't need.

After, 18 years I decided to go back to school and complete my degree. I was lost and struggling with my classes. Then I was recommended to Jason, and with his one on one tutoring service I manage to get that GPA to a 4.0. I have even used his services for my son that is a senior I. High school. I recommend him for anyone who is struggling or perhaps needs a little extra help with school work.

Jasmine was extremely helpful - significantly better than any professional tutoring service I attended. Not only does she know the material but she can explain it in a way that makes sense and she gave me examples and outside work to further my understanding. I was getting a D in my class and with her help I passed with a 93% on my final exam. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor and I wish I would have found her sooner!
