Absolutely LOVED our first private dance lesson with Natalie and SO happy to have found her and Move the Beat through Thumbtack!!! Definitely recommend!
Many dance instructors can teach the mechanics of dancing. Many people are satisfied with just knowing the mechanics. To take your dancing to the artist level you need someone that is more than just a dance teacher. I have found such a personAleks. He has not only taken my dancing to a higher level but he has helped me redefine my purpose in dancing. When I first met Aleks, I knew that he was a rare find. I also knew that his knowledge, experience, and skills would provide me with a solid foundation for ballroom dancing. Within a short period of time of taking private lessons with Aleks, I was able to see my progress and my potential as a dancer. I am excited and honored to be competing with Aleks! I am very proud to be his student. Thank you Aleks for the confidence and for my growth on the dance floor that you have bestowed upon me!
Brittni is an exceptional dance instructor. She is great to work with. She took my non salsa dancing boyfriend and created a monster. He now has the confidence to dance anywhere we go. I knew the basics of salsa dancing and she helped me improve my moves. She has the patience to guide every step of the way. I highly recommend Brittni. We will definitely be calling on her again!
I have had a wonderful time learning some of the different types of ballroom dancing. They take the time to break it down into small sections at a time and then put it all together after that, which I find is very helpful in learning a dance. I have had a great time every time I have took class with them!! I would rate my experience with them as outstanding! !
Kim was wonderful. Fun, professional and made it about us.
I have been taking lessons from Tsha for several years. Tsha is an excellent teacher because she understands movement, and its source. She understands and explains very well how our body moves. She is also excellent at finding why a step, a connection with a partner, a movement is not happening, and pointing out how it can be fixed. Tsha is also very patient with her students, funny, caring and sweet. She always has interesting and new music to use for practice.
Great instructor, serious, motivating and fun. spacious clean studio, flexible schedule. I look forward to my lessons. I am happy with my decision and I highly recommend this studio.
I've taken lessons with Olga, both private and a group body movement class called "ballroom body", for over a year. She is a great teacher, gifted dancer, and clearly communicates technical details of movement. Her ballroom body class is very creative and fun as well. She has great energy, fun personality, is patient and very warm hearted, and just great to be around. I give very high recommendation!
Wonderful lesson. Tailored the dance to our song and personalities. Would recommend her!
Haven't started working with her yet but I think she's going to be a very good teacher
My husband and I have been taking ballroom dance lessons off and on for about 25 years. In that time, we’ve had many teachers. We’ve enjoyed something about all those experiences. But, Anna is the whole package! She’s a beautiful dancer, she’s an excellent teacher, she is patient, creative, and very professional. One of the things we really appreciate about her is how flexible and spontaneous she can be. Sometimes I come in with an idea of something I want to work on, without knowing the name of it or even being able to show her what it looks like. However she always knows what I’m talking about and will figure it out for me. And best of all-we always have a great time with her!
There are misconceptions that line dancing is all about cowboys and country and western. Yes, there is country and western but Rita Svane makes it look cool, and easy. Rita's style is encouraging and you feel she is talking just to you. Her teaching is excellent in its clarity; steps are taught in short blocks that are gradually put together to create the main frame of the dance, which makes it easier to learn from. I always enjoy the different sorts of music Rita chooses for the dances and her instruction moves are very well thought out. I believe she shows a true reflection of what line dancing is today.
Sylvia has an excellent teaching and coaching style. She explains and demonstrates dance moves very clearly. She is very encouraging and is a pleasure to work with. The studio is bright, clean and inviting.
I provide private dance lessons in multiple genres, such as modern, ballet, tap, hip-hop and jazz. Sorry, but no ballroom dance lessons are offered.
The dance courses are personalized to each client. No two clients get the same treatment.

I teach wedding dance, social (ballroom, country couples), waltz (travel), fox trot, chacha, rhumba, swing (2 kinds), and also slow dancing technique.
I do more than just teach dance. I teach injury prevention and explain why our muscles help us in the way they do for movement.
I have a BFA in dance and have taught ages ranging from three to 17 in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop.
I do modern, jazz, lyrical, and my favorite, ballet. I started dancing when I was 13 years old. When I'm done with the student, he or she will become a professional dancer.
I am well versed in many forms of dance from ballet to lyrical and can work with groups or on a one on one basis. I understand that every person is at a different level and should be treated as such. I try to be open to what my customer is looking for so I am very flexible with their needs. Dance is of course fun but first and foremost safety is key so that is where my professional training comes in use.
