Vlad and his team were great to work with and we will be using them again in the future. He was responsive, thoughtful and able to execute efficiently. We hired them for two projects: replace our porch skirting around the entirety of our house and complete a built in bar with some cabinetry installation. Everything came out exactly as we agreed on. We needed to make our kitchen a little larger and add more storage. We designed it through IKEA, and reached out to ChiTown Fixers for floor tile installation. While this was initially the only service we were looking to hire ChiTown Fixers to do, they ended up helping us with every aspect of the kitchen, including demolition, plumbing, cabinet assembly and installation, lighting, and wall repair. The team is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Vlad has a wonderful attention to detail that I highly appreciated; he was always thinking several steps ahead in planning and finishing touches. When unexpected situations arose, the team was able to be flexible and fix whatever issue was happening. For example, when our countertops were too short (IKEAs fault), the team was able to do some woodworking to ensure they fit perfectly in the space. They hooked up the under cabinet lighting to a light switch rather than leaving it remote-reliant. These touches let us have a high end kitchen for a budget price. Vlad provided price estimates throughout the process so I always provided the cost, which was helpful on a budget. Not only would I recommend them to everyone, I’m going to be hiring them again to work on a backsplash! I can’t speak highly enough of them—they are truly one of the best teams out there.

Yesterday, I had all my kitchen cabinets and countertops removed, and the space was in terrible condition. The drywall was filled with mold; the floor had mouse droppings and rot—it was quite disgusting. I urgently searched Thumbtack for someone to do a deep cleaning. Vladislav and his wife were the first to respond to my request. They were punctual and went above and beyond my expectations. They replaced the damaged drywall and thoroughly cleaned up all the filth. I saw his wife on her hands and knees scrubbing the tiled floors. It looks like I have brand-new floors, and the drywall looks spectacular. The space looks great now for installing new cabinets. I also appreciate how they noticed my wobbly kitchen table and tightened it up for me. Thank you for doing such a fantastic job! I am still in awe of how beautiful everything looks. I truly appreciate your tremendous work!
