Brit and Helen provided the music for our wedding ceremony on Sunday, September 18, 2016 as a violin and cello duo and they did a fantastic job! They were actually our second choice but they offered an amazing deal for two people for one hour so we decided to go with them (and we were not disappointed). It took us a little bit to select our music, but thankfully Brit was able to provide us with a wonderful selection of classical and contemporary music to pick from. We also had 3 additional musical selections (Star Wars, Star Trek, and The Legend of Zelda) that we wanted to incorporate into our ceremony. Brit and Helen were able to accurately and expertly integrate these pieces at no additional charge to us. We were both ecstatic when he heard them during the ceremony. It was the cherry on top. Even with a last minute musician substitution, everything turned out perfect. Our communication was mostly through e-mail but the initial phone conversation we had really helped to get us all on the same page. Brit was very responsive as we went back and forth with the music as well as some contract revisions we had requested. We would absolutely recommend Brit and Helen to anyone looking for top notch musicians for their wedding ceremony. Our only regret is that we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye because we were rushed away for pictures. We also forgot to mention that they totally could have stayed for the cocktail hour to indulge in drinks and hors d’ouevres. Sorry!
I really enjoy learning from Tracy! She is a very warm and approachable person. From my lesson, I could tell that she really knew what she what teaching me! That made me feel comfortable about learning more from her. She has so much knowledge to bestow on everyone about Music Theory, songs, etc. I believe that learning the piano or any instrument could pose as a job opportunity. I feel that Tracy prepares me to play locally and/or professionally!
Got my 15 year old daughter guitar lessons with David & he was AMAZING!!
Alex was a pleasure to work with. I found him to be communicative, mature, and highly expressive and technically outstanding as a musician. He played cello in a dance piece I created for a professional dancer from abroad. We both felt that was excellent in the process and performance. I recommend him to anyone, anywhere, anytime. I have 2 taking piano lessons here and Kimberly is excellent at keeping them engaged and motivated to learn. She is responsive to concerns and suggestions. We adore her.
Cassie taught my 2 kids piano for a couple of years and she was great! Very organized, supportive and punctual. She was patient when the kids were being difficult. We've now moved away to a different region of the country, but we had a couple of great years with Cassie! Highly recommended!
I was looking for a short term cello teacher for my 11 year old daughter while her regular teacher was on summer break. City Strings and Piano responded right away and sent a teacher to my home working with the days/hours I preferred. Victor, the cello teacher, was fantastic! He only had four lessons to work with my daughter on her seating audition pieces. She arrived at the audition feeling confident and well prepared! Victor was punctual and extremely helpful in describing the mood of the pieces..explaining dynamics and bowing techniques to improve her playing. He was very patient and friendly...using a bit of humor to engage my daughter and make her feel at ease. I would highly recommend Victor and City Strings & Piano! Loved the convenience of a professional, highly qualified teacher coming to my home!
I had decided to start taking cello lessons later in life at the age of 50, and Clair offered a very supportive and engaging teaching manner to kick start my endeavor. Her abilities as cellist and teacher offer any student wonderful instruction and inspiration.
Francisco is a great instructor and plays cello very beautifully. I have had lessons with other cello instructors and it's a lot more laid back and easy-going with Francisco.. which tends to keep you comfortable and actually engages you to progress forward faster. The pace is good and challenging, and his insight into both technique and repertoire history adds a lot to the whole lesson experience. I look forward to continuing my cello lessons with Francisco for the foreseeable future. :)
Bellas Artes has almost become our home away from home. All three of our children take lessons there (violin, guitar, voice and musicgarten) and we truly could not be more pleased in the quality of instruction their receive every week! When our oldest daughter came to us and asked if she could please take violin lessons four years ago, we were not only surprised but also delighted but then the search began for a music studio. Where should we go? We were clueless but instantly felt like Bellas Artes was the place for us, after talking to Justin. Miss Constance, Mr. Brown, Miss Suzanna and Miss Destiney have been wonderful instructors for our children and we have so enjoyed watching them learn and grow and become excited about music and performing. We couldn't be happier!
Jonathan has taught the High-school drama group at the fine arts program my family attends for a few years now. He is very hard-working and will always do his best to help students grow, learn and excel at reaching their goals. His class was informative and fun, and I recommend him as a teacher.
My son learned to play guitar there at the age of 5. He is now 12 and has continued his lessons and has formed a Rock Band where they all practice and perform through the music school. They have all learned a tremendous amount and it continues to be a wonderful experience for them.
Haven't started working with her yet but I think she's going to be a very good teacher
He is very knowledgeable, reasonable price and he comes to my home.

I make sure my students have a well balanced knowledge of the basic technical aspects of playing cello and music theory--in order to build a strong musical foundation that can allow the student to advance properly to the next level. I incorporate daily practice regiments specialized for each student.
I provide lessons on any stringed instrument, including cello, guitar, bass, violin and piano. I do Eastern, European and ethnic music also.
