I worked with Marc for a couple of years, he was my first ever drum instructor, and he made me the drummer that I am today. As most beginners, I struggled a little bit, but Marc never gave up on me and continued to work with me until I got the hang of things. That is one thing that I really enjoyed, he never worked too fast or tried to jump ahead, he waited until I was ready to move onto the next thing he wanted to teach me. He specializes in anything you could want to know, whether it be snare drum work, or drumset, he has it all. Marc also taught me how to read music during my time with him, which seems to be a struggle many fellow drummers, but there is always time to learn. Under Marc's teachings I played the drum set for my church during services, and I played in my high school's Advanced Jazz Band for 3 years as lead drummer. I learned a lot from Marc, and many others can as well. You will not be disappointed, and you have my word for it.

I started playing the drums at 26 years old and soon realized I needed to find someone to help me really learn about this instrument. I found Marcus online and I couldn't have found a better teacher/mentor. As a beginner Marcus always made me feel comfortable and pushed me to always challenge myself. What's great is that he is well versed in different styles of music so things never got stiff or boring. He taught me not only how to better play but also schooled me on the history of great drummers and the different types of drums, sounds and how there created. To this day I still use the music sheets and refer to our notes when I practice. His passion for music and drumming can't help but rub off on you. I very highly recommend taking lessons from Marcus.

I had studied with Marcus for 24+ months. Each lesson was power packed with great drumming concepts. He really emphasized playing a variety of styles like rock, funk, jazz and Latin - very cool! My band members noticed a huge improvement in my drumming. They were thrilled. Most importantly - each lesson was very informative, fun and helped me improve my drumming and musicality. Now when I play, I play with confidence, style and musicality. If you are looking for a great drum instructor, the best of the best, Marcus is the drum teacher for you.
