Thumbtack only lets you choose 3 of the 5 “qualities you liked most about your chef” so let me start by saying Elvi was all 5 -incredible quality, professional, responsive, punctual, AND he runs it all at a great value- so it was VERY hard to pick just 3. Bonus points for being extremely accommodating to the vision for the party. Our group hosts a special Supper Club for the holidays every year where we get together in someone’s home, dress up, have some fancy champagne, and hire a professional chef for an elevated evening. This year it was my turn to host. Before I get into it, just look at the pictures. They speak for themselves. Elvi was the first to reach out to me of the chefs I had requested and had a very impressive resume along with his charming and engaging personality. He is also very prepared and well organized in his craft. He developed a menu and built it around our budget. He also works with a very nice and incredibly professional team. The efficiency of the operation was truly immaculate. I don’t know how else to describe the food other than it was out of this world and I’ll be forced to live with the cravings for his bruschetta, filet with au jus, and potato pave until next time. Let me be clear… There WILL be a next time. And Elvi, whatever that dessert was, it was SO good. Please also thank your pastry chef for us. In addition to the fantastic food and coordinating for the party, the presentation was top tier. It was bright, colorful, sexy, and very aesthetic. He brought all his own supplies. He also brought his own menus for the evening to put on display which was really a great touch and is very indicative of his attention to detail. Basically, I don’t know about any of these other Chefs, but Elvi takes the cake. I had a vision and he exceeded all expectations. Just call him. You’ll be glad you did. Thank you, Elvi. This experience was truly Chef’s Kiss.

Chef Elvi helped make my wife's birthday extra special with a fine dining experience for 10 people in our home! He was quick to respond and the cooking influences of Spain, Italy, Greece were exactly what we were looking for. Chef created an initial menu, and then we adjusted it based on some picky eaters and one guest who had siliac. On the night of the party, Chef brought all the serving dishes, his own cooking utensils and all of the food and ingredients needed for the meal. We provided the eating utensils, plates, glasses and drinks and decorated. Chef came right on time and had his wife and mother along with him to help prepare, serve, bus and wash dishes. Each course was served family style along with Chef's explanation of each dish. We were nervous about the preparation of each dish with our siliac guest who is hyper sensitive to any gluten, but Chef was sure to make her meal first, which included most of the same things we ate with a gluten twist: This guest had no issues all night or the next day! Suffice to say, we highly recommend Chef and would have no hesitation in hiring him again.

I hired Chef Elvi for my brother’s bachelor party recently and had the dining experience of a lifetime! From the moment I first messaged Chef Elvi on the app he was responsive and helpful. He worked with me to create a custom 5 course menu to my liking. My friends and I were pleasantly suprised on the day of the dinner when Chef showed up with a team to help him through the dinner service. They carried their ingredients and supplies up 4 flights of stairs to our air bnb happily without even the thought of a complaint. His team got set up and cooking and no time and before we knew it we were called to the table. The meal was the greatest meal we’d collectively ever had. We requested beef Wellington because we had always wanted to try it and I promise you it did not disappoint! Gordon Ramsay has nothing on Chef Elvi! The 5 course meal was truly stunning and was such a great time. Chef and his staff then cleared the dishes, did the dishes, and cleaned the kitchen. They left the kitchen in better shape than when they found it. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience and would 10/10 recommend Chef Elvi and his teams services to anyone looking for an incredible private dining experience!! I can’t wait to hire Chef again for my next event!

It was a wonderful experience having Chef Elvi come to our home! I decided to do something different for my wife’s 40th bday and our 15 year anniversary, hiring Chef was the greatest idea! It was only my wife, our two daughters and myself and Chef was able to make courses for all to enjoy including the kiddos! He was able to use his creative skills to make lavish appetizers, tremendous entrees (custom to my requests AND MORESO) along with a PERFECT birthday cake that we thoroughly enjoyed to close the night!!! I highly recommend for small or even large gatherings as they, prepped, cooked, cleaned and did so in such an amicable and professional fashion that the entire family was utterly impressed with the night! Something for sure the kids will chat about in school:)! Thank you sincerely to Chef Elvi and his wife for making this special night even more spectacular than I imagined.
