Collectively, the City Chic team has over 30 years of planning experience. We always offer a no-obligation planning session with all potential couples so that you can feel comfortable with us and the experience that we can bring to your planning process. All it will cost is about an hour of your time. Since this is such an important investment, choosing based off a quote provided online might be difficult. If you have a free hour, we would love to meet for coffee in your neighborhood and work on a plan tailored to your needs. City Chic Events was such an incredible pleasure to work with! Allana organized bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, church decor, cake flowers, and centerpieces for the wedding, and all of it was incredibly beautiful! From the beginning, she was incredibly receptive to my vision for flowers, and offered suggestions to make everything fit within our budget. From reusing bouquets as centerpieces to reusing aisle decor as sweetheart table decor, she thought of everything to make our wedding more sustainable, and therefore more affordable! She also assisted in building out a rough timeline of the day for me, and even came prepared with a potential layout for the decor in the reception hall. Allana is incredibly professional, and I would recommend her to any bride looking for a supportive, easygoing vendor to help do their flowers.

We hired Allana 4 weeks (!!!) before our wedding date after hearing from our wedding reception venue that we would not be allowed to dance or get up out of our seats due to COVID. Just one month before our wedding date, we switched to a backyard tent reception at a family member's property. Instead of laughing at this idea, Allana excitedly took on the challenge to plan a brand new wedding in a month, and our day was better than we ever envisioned. We think it was even better than our original wedding plans! We were so lucky to work with her, as she knew all of the right people to get the job done and get it done WELL. She has so many connections to different vendors (that are the highest of quality), and there is no way we would have been able to pull this off without her. Thanks so much, Allana!

Wedding Coordination

Working with Allana at City Chic (she’s is the owner) was the best thing I could have done to help plan our wedding. Allana kept up with each vendor and made great shareable documents for everyone using Google Drive. She helped the groomsman get their tuxedo fittings and conferred with the bridal party on their dresses and attire. She met with our Rabbi and went over the ceremony. She was very sensitive to the fact that there were many family members who only spoke Spanish. She actually is fluent in Spanish! She helped pick our menu by showing up for the tasting (above and beyond!). I didn’t have a single worry on wedding day and neither did my fiancé (now husband)!

Wedding Coordination

Allana was our 30 day wedding planner and overall she did an excellent job. We had a lot of vendors for our big day and Allana made sure to keep everything in line in terms of communication and coordination; We didnt have to do much at all. During our initial meetings she quickly understood what we were looking for and provided great suggestions and feedback. It wasnt long before she became our wedding voice of reason and we wanted her to be a part of everything, down to the tasting. Our wedding day turned out perfectly and she was a big part of that. She's been a big part of our lives for the last couple months and it feels odd that we wont be speaking to her every week. She was pleasant, professional and a joy to work with. I'd definitely recommend City Chic for any wedding planning services!

    City Chic understands that the modern bride on a budget may not need all the services outlined in our package. For that reason, we are very flexible in designing a custom package within your price range tailored to provide the exact services you need.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I always offer an initial, no obligation planning session to all potential brides. This gives the bride and the groom the opportunity to get to know me, my capabilities, and the ability to gauge how well we will work together.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I have always been a planner. It started back in high school when I joined student council and helped plan two proms. My joy for planning expanded through college when I became the social chair at my sorority. Planning was in my blood! After I left college, my first official work position was coordinator of special events for a multinational company based in Chicago. It was a blast! I got to travel all over the United States executing all the details for major tradeshows.
