I wasn’t going to mention the 3 hours late (I had to reach out asking if/when coming), but because the screen door isn’t truly fixed, and I wasn’t offered any discount (for “late” or non-ability to properly fix) - I feel I must give this review. Juan had come to evaluate the balcony screen door prior - so I am not sure why the level of “can be fixed” wasn’t discussed at that time.
I appreciate that he could find a way to at least get the screen door back on track (backwards & upside-down…). It will keep critters in and out - but we can’t use it as far as sliding it back & forth too much. Not because of his inability to fix - in the end, it’s just likely I need a brand new something.
Definitely overpaid for both services. I knew this was the case for the curtain rod - but i figured having a working screen door was worth it & I didn’t want him to have to come over just to fix one thing.
In full disclosure, I had forgotten I had written a check (I rarely do), but as soon as I noticed it wasn’t going to go through - I reached out to Juan to get his Cash App info & paid before he was even alerted by his bank that the check wouldn’t go through.
Also - to be fair - I never asked for a discount…perhaps he may have given me one. I just wanted it “over” as I was already an hour late for the plans I had that Saturday (work-related).
Juan is very nice, hard-working, and obviously has talent. Just be very clear with him on how long you can wait if he is not on-time (maybe he should give a window of time for his own peace of mind), and make sure he really plans out the “fix” when he comes out to price/out the job.

Extremely punctual and reliable. Probably the best handyman I've ever worked with. He worked through difficult weather with a difficult nonfitting door and spent 7 hours till he figured it out. He also came back multiple times to check up on it and tweek things on his own time. He fixed my broken fence gates and did a wonderful job, couldn't ask for any better. Very high quality work and very trustworthy. Have since continued to call Kevin for other jobs and will continue to do so permanently.

I can not really speak for the work he does but the communication was not good, which is a huge part of a good service. Usually handymen try to work with a potential costumer, he asked for tightening screws on a shower door for $150 which is a lot since this takes only few minutes, so I asked for $100 he said he needs to travels, etc. than I asked maybe we can add other services he replied he can do them. Then I asked about the price and he responded his service is $150 but for the other 2 little things now I need to find somebody else. So basically back at square one just wasted my time.
