In addition to seeing Astera for regular Reiki sessions, I decided to take her Reiki Level I class, which includes history/background information, basic Reiki training, and an attunement. About two weeks before the class even started, Astera sent us information to help prepare us for the attunement (i.e. best practices for the week prior to class). The class was held at an easily accessible location in downtown Chicago, and was perfectly sized so we all had a chance to talk and share our experiences before and after the attunement. Class started and ended with a guided meditation, and we went over basic Reiki information, including the history of Reiki and the hand placements for self-Reiki and treatments for family, friends and pets. Astera fostered a warm and comfortable environment that made meeting new people and sharing life experiences an easy task. After being attuned, we were all able to practice the reiki hand placements we had learned on ourselves and each other. Overall, it was an amazing day, and I left with a new understanding of myself, and a bunch of newly found friends. If you are feeling drawn to this experience, I encourage you to sign up for this class, because you will not find a better teacher to lead you down this path than Astera!

In working with Julie, I learned so much about myself and how to move forward in my business. I learned about my self-imposed road-blocks and how to move through them. Julie is brilliantly supportive and throrough. She can really coach anyone from any kind of business. I have recommended her to friends and they are so grateful as well.

I have known Amera McCoy for almost 4 years now and I can say without a doubt that she is the best executive coach I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Amera McCoy is a superb executive coach who builds relationships with her clients to get results, rather than approaching it as just another business transaction. Our interaction began in class when I started my doctoral program in Business Psychology. After getting to know her professional background and seeing her vast knowledge exhibited, I decided to reach out on a more formal note. She has helped and coached me through some of the challenging moment in my career and remains a friend, confidant, and (she doesn’t know yet) mentor years later. She brings the same passion and expertise to a group situation that she did for me one-on-one. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in either occasion Amera has a great sense of humor and tremendous life/professional experiences that she leveraged when working with me individually and with my teams.

Ryan is an awesome trainer and everyone I've met is fun and friendly. Ryan actually shares his knowledge and wants me to be successful and to enjoy my workouts. He coaches he doesn't dictate! He inspires me to do and be more. The workouts are challenging and different, so it's not boring. I feel great everytime I leave and look forward to the next session!

As a community development planner and practitioner, I have used Arch Angel Human Development on several occasions including engaging youth in job readiness and training, the development of soft skills, conflict resolution and life skills development. I have found that their approach to addressing the attitude of inner-city youth (particularly young adults) is not only thought-provoking, inspiring and innovative but it also gets results. Attitude adjustment and behavior modification among troubled youth appears to be a particular strength of Minister Michael Muhammad. Arch Angel services fills the gaps and makes youth program management work go a lot smoother.

When I decided I needed a coach to assist with some decisions I needed to make, I began my search online. The sheer number and different types of coaches was totally overwhelming. But, little did I know that the perfect coach for me was right under my nose! Several months before, I had been introduced to Cassandra through a mutual friend because I was interested in the coaching profession for myself. We had several brief conversations about her training and about the business of coaching. Even in those early discussions, I found Cassandra to be warm, articulate, professional, considerate, and quick-witted with quite a sense of humor. Suddenly, I thought…Cassandra would make a great coach…for me! And I was right! She is not only a great listener but one of her most fabulous attributes is that she is able to “synthesize” my ramblings and feed them back to me in a marvelously cohesive statement that sums up what I said and much of what I felt – but hadn’t said! So, over the past 13 years, I have maintained Cassandra as my “go to” coach, and I have never been disappointed in the outcome of our collaboration. I have never felt judged, or wrong, or stupid in any situation that I have shared with her. Cassandra is the most non-judgmental person I have ever met. She is phenomenal in the way she supports me in whatever I am trying to achieve…and it’s ALWAYS about ME! If she has an opinion about something, she sets that aside and places the focus on what I want for my life. Her questions are so skillful that they encourage me to think in new and different ways and it inspires me to pull from deep within myself to come up with new ideas and approaches to my situation. In other words, Cassandra’s coaching is not about proving that she has the answers, but rather she is all about empowering her clients to gain clarity, recognize their own truth, and affirm their gifts. Yes, it is evident that Cassandra is highly trained and certified; but her value as a coach goes over and above what can be taught in a classroom. She is a person of integrity with a genuine desire and commitment to helping her clients achieve the highest level of personal satisfaction and professional success in their lives. I recommend Cassandra without reservation!

I swear finding Dana was complete Divine Intervention! We randomly bumped into each other twice and just absolutely LOVED her optimism, persona and energy. She is an AMAZING coach and has helped guide me in ways I never imagined. She truly made a HUGE IMPACT in my life. She actually was the reason behind me pursuing my desires of always wanting to be closer to my family and putting it into action. My absolute favorite thing about Dana is her ability to make everyone feel so empowered, loved and special all at the same time and even though she's probably the busiest woman I have ever met, she always made time for her clients regardless! She's amazing! If she's NOT YOUR COACH you are MISSING OUT ON YOUR AMAZING POTENTIAL TO DO GREAT THINGS!

Jimmy is the man. He's one of the best Strength and Conditioning coaches I've ever worked with. He put 90+ pounds on all of my majors lifts and added 9 inches to my vertical in one off season. He's knowledgeable and personable and will help reach whatever goals you set in fitness and nutrition. I highly recommend him.

Annette is an outstanding coach and has helped me with the way I see myself, my weight and how muscle is more condensed than fat and I'm much smaller than what I weigh on the scale because I strength train 3 days a week with heavy weights. She champions me to the finish line and I've achieved many goals I've set for myself with Annette beside me as a partner climbing the mountain beside me.

Darick is extremely knowledgeable and tailors the work out to what suits you the best. His understanding of anatomy ensures that you train your weaker areas in parallel without causing any discomfort (I am an older individual). I have never looked or felt better because of Darrick's tutelage.

I love working with Kelsey. She is so encouraging, motivating and positive. Her training and meal plans are straight forward and easy to understand. She is an excellent coach and is always asking how she can better help you - a good trainer will just give you a plan. An excellent trainer will always constantly be helping you, asking you how they can help you, encouraging you. She isn't only a trainer, but she is your friend. ❤ I still have a ways to go, but I've learned so much from Kelsey and I'm eating right, exercising, losing fat mass and building muscles which is my goals that's she's helping me achieve.

    What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

    What is a career coach?

If you’re interested in furthering your career and want expert help, a career coach is a smart solution. A career coach is a professional you hire to guide you during a job search or a career transition, or to help you improve and advance in your current position. A career coach analyzes your work situation and learns what your professional goals are. They then create a strategy to help you achieve your targets. Throughout the process they should provide objective feedback and guide you in approaching the process strategically. Here are some of the tools and tasks a career coach may assist you with:

    • Helping you build a strong resume that reflects your work history, potential, and skills
    • Coaching for interviews and strategies for solid answers built around your resume and the target job
    • Defining your career goals
    • Creating a plan for job searching
    • Improving networking strategies and skills
    • Developing strategies for negotiating raises or promotions
    • Assessing why you’re not getting where you want to go
    • Identifying new positions or career opportunities that fit your skills

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

    Why is career counseling important?

Career counseling can help you discover your career path, help you overcome challenges preventing you from finding happiness in your job, or help you learn more about career opportunities that are available to you. Career counselors are typically counselors who specialize in helping guide people into their best career choices. As professionals, they have typically completed a master’s degree in counseling with a focus on career counseling and bring a nuanced understanding of the emotional blocks that prevent someone from doing what they love or getting ahead in their current position. Here are some of the ways that career counseling can help:

    • Identify your skills and talents and how they correlate to different career paths
    • Educate you about the educational requirements for launching in various careers and what earnings can look like
    • Help you understand the kind of environment you want to work in, and which careers are best suited for that
    • See opportunities to transfer your existing skill set to other career areas
    • Help you identify causes of tension or unhappiness in your current career and how to overcome those difficulties
    • Help you create a game plan for moving forward
    • Provide a safe space for you to understand your feelings about career choices you’re making

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

A career coach provides one-on-one sessions to help you reach your career goals or overcome any challenges you’re having in your career path. The cost to have career coaching can vary based on factors such as the number of sessions you purchase at one time and the experience and rates of your counselor. Career counselors are typically professionals who have earned at least a master’s degree in their field. Based on their academic background, supplemental certifications they have received, and any postdoctoral work they have done, their rates may vary. Typically career counselors offer reduced rates when you sign on for their services on an ongoing basis. A typical price range for career counseling services (nationally) could be $75-$150 per session. Remember to always ask if the career counselor offers a complimentary introductory session. You want to make sure the relationship will be the right personality and counseling style fit to help launch your confidence and upcoming career changes.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
