This concept was foreign to me at first, but it has become the most powerful anc compassionate tool I possess. Instead of fighting the panic, I now have the ability to sit with it. This simple act of connection and self-compassion has fundamentally changed my experience of a panic attack. It no longer feels like an enemy to be defeated, but rather a part of me in need of love and attention Through this process, I have slowly but surely begun the difficult work of letting go of the past. The pain is still there, but it no longer defines me.
