Introduction: William Mitchell was awarded "Hypnotist of the Year 2009" at the Mid America Hypnosis Conference in Chicago,IL for his successful work with weight loss and smoking cessation clients in Springfield and Decatur since 2003 at Personal Motivation Hypnosis Clinic. Using the relaxing method called hypnotherapy,he helps his clients release the cravings and urges that cause smoking or overeating. The clients usually come for a program of sessions that allow them to insure against relapse into the old bad habits. Hypnosis is a natural mental state that can be learned and enhanced with the positive suggestions of a qualified hypnotherapist. William Mitchell is a Board Certified Hypnotist and a Certified Instructor with the National Guild of Hypnotists. He is also a member of the American Academy of Medical Hypnoanalysts. He is a former faculty member of the SIU Medical School serving on the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Panel ( CAM).
