- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been singing since before I could speak. I just assumed everyone else loved to sing as much as I did! I knew it made me feel good! As I grew up I met people who swore they could not sing so consequently they did not sing. I knew they were missing out on a very special part of life! With the education I received and overcame and the techniqus I've developed, everyone I have worked with since 1989 has had a vocal transformation!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask what kind of training they have had. Do they teach only classical voice? Or can they teach pop? Ask how many years they have been teaching and approx how many students they've worked with.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I sing to stay healthy. I sing to those not so healthy in hospice. I listened to singing in harmony when I was in chemo/dreamo treatment. I had my surgeons listen to my singing on cd for all 5 surguries. Singing is healing in so many ways. Even upon our death, the Ultimate healing, hearing voices sung to me will lift me into the arms of the Angels, when it's my time... It's not yet. So I sing and help other remember how to use their own instrument of peace, their voice.
