About this pro

How does your business stand out?

I have been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 35 years and love what I do! I continue to learn and improve my skills to be the best wellness professional I can be. With over 17 international recognized credentials, I am prepared to help with almost any population. I enjoy working with the "new-to-exercise" participant, helping to educate them on nutrition and exercise from the ground up. We will lay down a foundation of knowledge starting with core fundamentals and build from there. I also work with special populations, including post rehab, obese, morbidly obese and I really enjoy working with the mature population, ( over 60 ), helping them to reclaim functionality, balance, coordination and strength.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

The best part of my job is seeing the transformation of a client from the very beginning to about the three month point in the training process. It's very exciting and rewarding for me as their trainer to be a part of that transformation.

    Bob is awesome
Bob is awesome. Looking for strength training, weight loss and lifestyle change. He is working in each aspect at my pace. Accountability is the best part. Twice a week we review nutrition and cardio. Then we do a strength training workout. Goal is to get off some medicines and improve health. 6 weeks in and glad I started.

    Love my Trainer Bob
I just love my sweet Trainer Bob. (Except for when he makes me accountable ! ) Lol He really addresses all aspects of living a healthy lifestyle . He gets to the core reason you aren't losing weight. He doesnt just put u on a machine and count reps. He is very kind and patient. He never discourages you. It's a joy to go to my training sessions with him. It makes my whole attitude for the day bright and happy !! It's good to put yourself first !

Bob is very knowledgeable and is just what I needed. I was looking for a trainer and I discovered Bob is much more. In addition to an excellent trainer, Bob is a life coach and has a great nutritional plan. Moving forward I feel as if my probability for success, both fat loss and improved strength, are greatly enhanced with Bob. Thanks Bob for helping me on this journey to take charge of my Health and Wellbeing.

Bob is definitely one of the most professional people I've had the pleasure of working with. He can give you a very frank and accurate assessment of your current fitness level, and quickly develop a plan to meet your goals. Rates are also quite reasonable, and was always on time for our sessions without exception. I really appreciate the hard work and diligence, and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Trainer Bob is simply the best. He will work with you to custom fit a fitness plan to your needs and then push you to achieve those goals. He is also a wealth of knowledge on the human body, weight loss and all the things fitness, just try to stump him!

Bob is a great trainer. He is a good teacher on how to not only use the machines to get you to your target, but how to eat to maximize your results. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to lose a few pounds!

I am 5 months post total knee replacement and have begun working with Robert. He is open to all of my concerns and we are building a training program that will allow me to work upper body and core while only doing minor work on my leg as it heals. Just to get back into some fitness routine has been wonderful and Robert is helping me on the road to better me. I recommend his services if your looking to improve your overall health with weights, cardio and nutrition.

Trainer Bob is a skilled pro. He listened to my objectives and created a plan to acheive them. My sessions with him are packed, not a lot of chat other than to explain form, etc. His focus on muscle group balance is consistent with my needs.

Met Bob a few years ago. He helped me strength train beyond the usual routines. He showed me how to work on areas not normally my focus. Bob also worked with me to regain strength after hip surgery. Enjoyed working with Bob at each session!

Bob.... What to say about Bob... Let's break it down like this. Bob's quite the outgoing person who really knows what he's talking about in terms of health and fitness. I've been through a lot of trainers in my past and haven't stuck to one beyond the first few sessions. I'm comfortable Bob knows what he's doing and has been able to help me succeed in my goals. Currently, we're using the Ketosis Diet which has quickly shown drastic results in which I am always skeptical of "diets". In any regard, Bob knows when to push and when to step back when working out. After taking some time to learn your strengths and weaknesses, he pushes the right buttons to get you to strive for the best outcome. He's good at his job and I'd recommend him to other clients and family members.

Bob is a great trainer. He is knowledgable in both fitness and nutrition. He really challenged me far more than I would have challenged myself.

Bob Fields has an unique combination of deep professional experience with a degree in engineering and an empathy for his clients. His longevity as a professional trainer as well as an athlete himself sets him apart from almost all his peers in the industry.

I have worked with Trainer Bob for about five years. I came to him initially to address some health issues. As an older woman I was looking for someone who could accommodate my limitations and offer encouragement. I was also interested in having a trainer who is knowledgeable about body mechanics and nutrition. On top of all of those requirements, I wanted someone with a sense of humor and a kind spirit. I hit the jackpot with Trainet Bob. Karen F.

Bob is a Great trainer, I had Bilateral knee replacements and needed help getting back on track with exercising. I needed to be able to do a lot of these exercises in my home, due to my constant daily traveling the state of Indiana. He came up with a plan and guided me to a great exercise program fit to lifestyle I would Recommend "Bob The Trainer" to anyone looking for a great exercise program. the one on one was absolutely the best benefit ! and now well on my own doing great !

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Basically my rates very depending on location and package discounts. Rates range from $35.00 to $95 an hour. I will always work a deal to make it affordable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, every few years I participate in either personal workshops or online continuing Ed certifications. At last count, I have over 17 credentials.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My sister passed away from a heart attack at age 23 and my dad from a heart attack as well. I realize that I might have a genetic predisposition so I started researching Health and wellness. I was a full-time design engineer who later became a full-time personal trainer. I'm still a part-time engineer, but my passion is helping people with health related issues and improving their lifestyle.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my clients want weight-loss programs, followed by improving functionality and balance. Second to that, would be programs teaching how to exercise safely and what nutrition changes can they make that will have the greatest impact the fastest.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had several clients recently referred by their doctor, suffering from joint and severe back pain. Over the course of anywhere from 2 to 4 months time, they have made significant progress in the reduction of their pain as well as improved functionality and mobility.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to personal trainer shoppers, would be to look for credentials, Especially those from American College of sports medicine and also look for a trainer who's willing to provide a name and a contact information of an existing client to get a real first-hand testimonial of what it's like to train with that trainer.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers knew and understood that personal training is not just for the wealthy. It can be very affordable and provide the necessary education to make them self-sufficient and empower them to accomplish many goals way beyond their expectations.
