Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Because all three of us, Rev. Jennifer Johnson, Rev. Melissa Lawson and myself, Rev. Ida-May Hanson, love what we do, we simply do it better. We treat each couple differently and try very hard to give them the wedding ceremony they feel comfortable with and a ceremony plus traditions expressing their love and relationship. There are no cookie cutter ceremonies here at Happy Ever After. We give you examples of ceremonies. You can take the ceremony as is or you can cut-and-paste the words from one ceremony to the other. Hence making the final words...YOURS. We, Rev. Jennifer Johnson, Rev. Melissa Lawson and I, Rev. Ida-May Hanson are very fortune to be the person (minister) in each of the couple’s lives that they will always remember. Not just by facial recognition but most of the time, by name. Being a part of someone's special memory is priceless. No other job on earth has that ability that I know of today.

Matt & I definitely recommend Ida-May's services. She met with us prior to the wedding & helped us create a non-denominational ceremony. She arrived to the wedding early and was very pleasant to work with! She sent us home with printed copies of our vows which will be lasting memories.

Where to begin with Rev Ida-May Hanson... Outstanding is an understatement for the services she provided to us. She made our day so smooth and so special for us and provided great ideas for making our services that much more unique. As a blended family with a unique ceremony of its own included Rev Ida-May really made our son feel as though he was a gracious part of our ceremony and truely helped us prove to him how special he really is to us both... I highly recommend her for any services you may need. She was very professional very organized and very punctual you never had to question where or what she was doing or when. She was patient, helpful, and an absolute perfect fit for making our day amazing. Thank you again Rev Ida-May. - Brandy and David

Rev. Johnson, one of Happy Ever After's reverends, handled my wedding ceremony. Unfortunately, it was not a happy experience. She was unprofessional and rude to my family. She stumbled through our ceremony as if she had no public speaking experience. The only good thing about the experience was that she fixed a problem

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Happy Ever After is ready to perform a wedding ceremony just about any where you can think of...at a venue, in a park, in a canoe, in a hot air balloon, or in our home. I love what I do and so will YOU!

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

On May 18, 2013 I performed a wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis, In. The couple, Sarah & Scott along with their families were really wonderful people that I had the pleasure of meeting and being part of their memorable day. After four years of being a Minister I had the opportunity to perform a wedding in one of Indianapolis' prime & esteem wedding venue.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire your wedding officiant early in the wedding planning process. This will allow him/her to be more prepared to officiate your wedding. It will also give you a better opportunity to secure a high-quality officiant before someone else books him/her for your wedding date. And an experienced, high-quality officiant can often help you secure other high-quality vendors for your wedding. If you don't already have a relationship with this person consider whether you like his/her style and whether you would enjoy working with this person. Remember your officiant performs the most important service at the wedding. He or she is the one who will officially pronounce you man and wife, which is the sole reason for the big event in the first place (don't lose sight of this!). You should feel comfortable inviting this person to share such an intimate moment in your life.
