She is kind and fun to work with. I look forward to my lessons as a time to learn to sing, and to just enjoy myself. She's good at balancing having a good time and having a professional lesson very well.

I made the leap to take my first guitar lessons without knowing anything about the instrument when I was 36 years old. With Sulaiman's expertise and patience, I learned to read music and play classical guitar as a soloist, as part of an ensemble, and as part of several musical productions that were composed by Sulaiman so that each musicians parts were written to their level of expertise. This has been so much more than just a guitar studio. Sulaiman and his family welcomed me into a musical environment where I was often pushed outside of my comfort zone, but always felt safe going there. Sulaiman's musical knowledge, technical prowess, and ability to understand people come together in a somewhat unconventional guitar studio where I learn to be a musician and learn about myself in the process.

First meeting he was very polite and ready to teach. Willingness to teach a person with no experience. Played some of his own music. Great style of teaching.

Nick was great! He was patient, knowledgable and polite. He gave me a couple of things to practice. I love it. Working on getting my fingers used to playing. Enjoying the practice till the next lesson. I hope to get better before he comes back with more. Thanks.

Sabrina is teaching piano to my Kindergarten-aged twins. She is great with young kids and their parents. She's very flexible with her teaching, willing to adapt to the style that fits them best. The lessons have included a conga drum to learn keeping time, as well as opening up the piano to show how the inside works. The learning environment in her home is very relaxing, and helps to calm my very energetic boys. When my boys do get distracted, she can effectively rein them back in or use their curiosity as a teachable moment when appropriate.

Timothy was my violin instructor as I started off with lessons as an adult in my 30s. I really enjoyed working with him, as he made me feel comfortable while learning. Although he works will all ages, he was able to take the material and make it consumable and rewarding even as an adult student. Overall coming from an adult student with minimal music theory and new to the violin. I could not recommend Timothy enough for any age looking to learn or improve technique.

About

I have certificates in violin, piano, and music theory. Therefore, I am able to give lessons to students who would like to learn more than one instrument. I have had students who have requested for a combination of piano, violin, and theory lessons. Also, I am able to accompany my violin students at recitals and exams because I can play the piano.
