- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In college I studied some Far Eastern theory, philosophy, religion, etc. The poetic way of seeing the microcosm/macrocosm model caught my attention; how the nature around us reflects our internal nature & vice versa. The month I graduated from undergrad I found a certificate program to learn BTB Feng Shui which is steeped in Tibetan Buddhism/Bon tradition, design, & common sense which was perfect since design was something I was interested in since childhood. Feng Shui is 1 branch of Chinese Medicine. There are 8. Acupuncture & Herbology are 2 more branches. I enjoy branching out.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for practitioners that are nationally certified (NCCAOM) and went to graduate school for acupuncture. Find someone you feel you have a good rapport with.
