FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the nature of grooming a dog I've never met or seen, pricing is typically a ballpark range. Depending on the condition of the coat and the animals temperament, price can occasionally be 5-10 dollars more or less than what is quoted. However, I will always address this prior to working on an animal so there are no surprise changes in pricing. I try to stay on the lower end of cost to my clients while maintaining a bottom line that allows me to provide top quality equipment and product (shampoo/conditioner/medicated baths/etc.).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've had formal training in grooming at the Animal Arts Academy. After completing the course in November 2015 I remained at the school to apprentice under the owner, a Nationally Certified Master Groomer. I have been to seminars and attended workshops with top notch groomers from all over the country.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started a job working in a dog daycare when I was 18. I have worked in various different animal care jobs since then but found grooming to be my passion in early 2015.
