Initially my doctor referred me to Trainer Bob to begin a consistent exercise routine. I have type II Diabetes and needed to make some lasting lifestyle changes.Trainer Bob is awesome!!!! I hesitated to contact him at first because I was self-conscious about training with someone and going to a gym where everyone looks great. I'm glad I finally made the call and got started. Trainer Bob uses a private gym just for trainers. That put me at ease right away. He has a wonderful personality and really makes an investment in each of his clients. I have been training for about 8 months with Bob. In that time I have lost a bit of weight and more importantly have been able to stop taking one of my medications!!! Bob not only helps with fitness, but coaches you on nutrition and lifestyle changes to help you accomplish your personal goals. In addition, he keeps the workouts interesting, gives you 'homework' and helps keep you focused on lifelong changes. Bob is accommodating with schedules, provides lots of encouragement and always greets you with a positive attitude!!! Jack has trained me and my husband for five years. I highly recommend him to anyone. He is a wonderful person and a great coach. He pushes us when we need it, but always in an affirming, positive way. Almost 11 years ago I was overweight with body fat at 34% (I'm only 5'2" and weighed almost 160lbs.) A friend and I decided to go to Studio 22 to see what it was all about! We joined that day, went to see Brad 3-4 days a week, was coached on fitness, healthy eating, lifestyle changes, etc.! Within the first year, my body fat was less than 20%, weight 125, and Brad coached me to do my first figure competition, which I won! I did another figure competition, then went on to now doing power lifting! Over the years I have come to really depend on Brads expertise to keep me fit and healthy! He is the best trainer, friend, mentor and overall great person! Jennifer is great at what she does, helping you get out of your own way to make your dreams a reality. I can't even tell you the progress I've made since starting to have her coach me. I stepped out and started my own business (which I had been looking at doing for years), I'm in a successful relationship, my life is being decluttered to eliminate the noise, and I'm focusing on what matters. It was hard for me to justify paying a coach at first. After struggling to break some self limiting thoughts for years, I thought, "what the heck do I have to lose. We only live once and I've been stuck in this spot for a while. Let's see if this helps". I don't how to explain it, but just having someone to talk through the big things of life with has helped me immensely. Maybe it's having someone to hold me accountable to take steps towards my dreams and goals, or listening with observations to help me break free from being in negative thought cycles that didn't serve me. I met Dawn and we had an instant rapport. Our conversation somehow guided us to talking about food and we found we both were gluten and dairy free. It was great to find a kindred spirit. Someone who understood the trials of dietary restrictions (in my case - due to celiac disease). When I learned she is a Health Coach, I wanted to learn more, so I became a client. When I started seeing Dawn in January, I was suffering from GERD, digestive issues, and chronic headaches. These symptoms had greatly improved in recent years by removing gluten and dairy from my diet, but I still suffered set backs (from travel) and it was clear there were other triggers. I had not been able to figure them out. Our first meeting Dawn listened and asked a ton of questions. In future sessions, she reviewed my recent lab results and identified areas where I was deficient. She recommended supplements (in addition to ones I was already taking). Furthermore, she told easy ways to add more Iron into my diet. Each time we met, I left with a checklist of things to do and I tried not to waste any time, so I'd have time to see if the changes helped before our next session. Every meeting I was able to discuss changes I've made and gauge improvement. It wasn't until our last session when I realized I hadn't used all my migraine pills that month. Typically, I would need a prescription refill every month and would even get fearful that I might run out before I could refill. When we calculated the number of pills remaining vs. how many I would normally use in a month, we determined that my headaches improved roughly 75-80%! It was unbelievable! Additionally, I was taking prescription medication for GERD. I had tried in the past to stop taking medication and instead use healthier alternatives to treat my GERD, but I was never successful. Dawn helped me approach it from a different angle. She explained the science of it. We discussed what I normally ate and drank. She explained the obvious food and beverages (coffee) that I should avoid and also helped me discover other triggers that upset my reflux. In time, I have improved tremendously. I have not taken my prescription medicine since early January and my symptoms are 95% improved and getting better every day. I came into this 100% committed to doing what was right for my body, but frustrated because I still was struggling and couldn't find the answers to conquering my headaches, GERD and digestive issues. Dawn's recommendations made sense. They were simple to do. She followed up each session and made me accountable. In between sessions, she sent follow up emails and texts. She provided me tips on delicious and healthy food, locally sourced foods, educational articles, and recipe. She taught me about harmful GMO's, pesticides, toxins and gave me a better understanding of how to read food labels so I could avoid unhealthy foods. I've been able to quietly implement so many changes in our household and I feel better about the meals I am preparing for my family. The experience has been invaluable and life changing and I cannot recommend her services enough! Thank you Dawn for helping me find better health!
