Introduction: I ask a lot of questions. I let the customer describe what they feel is the problem with their computer. The customer uses the computer day in and day out. Let them explain their issue. Then I repeat what they have told me. Then I start breaking that down into common issues and then finally if present an unique issue. Thus I reiterate their issues, breaking them down to known issues and then provide them a quote. I meet new people all the time. They all have different approaches to the similar tasks. They typically use their emails to correspond to their friends. Thus I am able to show them how the new gizmo works to add to their repertoire of talent. I in turn learn from them also.

Our customers have 2 options. $25/hr or 4 hour block for $75. Your choice before we proceed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Microsoft TechNet member. As members we constantly get updates to new MS software issues. Plus I read continuously about MS issues, Virus issues, Malware issues and their suggested fixes for each of them. I also subscribe to a number of periodicals that also keep me abreast of these issues. I am always learning and addressing critical issues.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy fixing things. I have this talent of being able to take apart and putting it back together. Before it was mechanical parts, now it is software. I can pull apart software and place it back together.
