What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm not trying for over charge. I love to work with people and help them. I'm not trying to make lots of money. I truly enjoy making cakes.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm person meeting for details.
Email or text design ideas.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have not went to school for cakes. I was a double art major in school.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mother taught me about baking and decorating
After I traveled making costumes on a show for many yrs. I always baked and make desserts for holidays and bday.
My niece asked me if I could make a black guitar cake with flames. I said yeah.
It was amazing. I have photos. It has blossomed since then.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Nice honest people. Please no Bridezilla's
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I make a fairy cake for one of my niece's with flowers a jello waterfall and fairies. Total time. 6 hrs. Not including cooling time and such. I don't charge for time for a cake to cool or jello to setup.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do research. Some places cakes don't taste great.
