Vocal Coaching to Perfection

Introduction: Most voice teachers, or vocal coaches do not specialize in genres other than classical, or traditional training. Because of my experience as a professional recording artist, and feature artist , as a singer, and a keyboard player, I specialize in microphone techniques, for both live performance, as well a studio singing. Because I have a vast amount of experience as a session singer, I can prepare any singer for the studio environment. Unless the voice teacher you find has this experience themselves, if you are wanting this sort of training, you will not achieve it in regular traditional, acoustical lessons. Also, my hourly rate is slightly cheaper because I believe I can accomplish more for the client because I can get them singing quicker. I don't waste a lot of time with traditional technique having clients learn songs, but rather I have them learn the same techniques by doing. We learn through imitation, exactly the same way we learn to speak. My clients notice a huge difference in as little as four or five sessions. I like the fact that I am able to incorporate science, or being an athlete into ones sessions. I can take anyone's experiences, even if they aren't necessarily a musical person and apply them to singing. Sight reading and theory can take a back burner to my vocal coaching. I like the confidence that I see my clients build over time, when before he/she was terrified to sing, or "afraid of sounding bad", I have found the avenue to get the person not only singing, but singing with confidence.
