I hired Mary to be a yoga instructor for my fitness retreat, and she was the perfect fit. She tailored the class for our needs (gentle yoga for sore muscles). I've done yoga for years with several different instructors, and I believe she is a wonderful teacher!

About 3 years ago, they misdiagnosed me with ALS. While they still don’t really know what I have, they’ve decided is definitely isn’t ALS. But what I do have is weakened portions of my lower body, compounded by sciatica. As a result, going to a gym usually leaves me in tears and horribly embarrassed. Yet, I knew I couldn’t just sit stationary behind my desk for 8 hours a day and magically have the weaknesses in my body improve. When I heard about Molly, the way she’ll come to train me in my home and the fact that she was able to teach me ‘Yoga for the eternally unbalanced,’ I decided to give it a try. BOY, am I glad I did! She works with the limited exercise equipment I have in my basement: a yoga mat, a treadmill, some bands and a fitness ball. I’m being guided through Warrior poses and stretching exercises. She listens to what is too easy and what is too difficult in order to give me exactly the exercises I need to take me to the next level. Her knowledge is exceptionally expansive so she always has several exercises options to offer. After just two highly customized sessions, I was better balanced, less tight in the muscles and had stronger legs. I noticed that I didn’t have to hold so tightly to the handrails when going up steps for fear of tripping... and that I was able to travel up them twice as fast. I no longer had to watch every step ahead of me while walking, scanning the ground for tripping hazards. Having legs that were a bit stronger and steadier allowed me to pick up my chin and enjoy the sights around me a little more. Was I completely healed after two sessions? No, of course not. But I WAS convinced that there were things I could do to reverse my condition, and that together with Molly, I would to be able to do all the things I should be able to do at my age. She not only helps me strengthen my body, she is transitioning me into a state of renewed grace and confidence. I highly recommend her services!

"He was my trainer at Notre Dame for 6 months. He is awesome! He knows different exercises and you don't get bored. Also, he knows your body and your needs. You will see good results (in my case it was gaining muscles) in a few sessions! He is the best trainer I have ever had!" ~Melika S. , Notre Dame Student "I have been going to John's weekly Men's Yoga class since it began in South Bend. He provides the perfect balance of relaxation, meditation, and yoga poses. His knowledge of the practice is outstanding. Though each class has a mixture of students at various skill levels, he offers adjustments to poses depending on the level you prefer, while always being encouraging. Over the course of the last 6 months I have felt myself become more relaxed and in-tune with my body and mind in all aspects of my life, and I attribute this to my weekly yoga practice with John." ~Kevin S, Yogi in Training "Once I started John's yoga classes, I was hooked. I found complete relaxation after each one and new flexibility! John is an excellent instructor who I recommend to anyone looking to take yoga!" ~Lynda "I have been taking John's yoga class for 4 months now and am so pleased at the progress I have made. He is very patient and always kindly shows us the correct position to be in when we can't get it just right. His class is just the right blend of strengthening and relaxing. I can't wait till it's time for the next class." ~Carol, Baby Boomer

I am offering customized, private yoga classes in your home or place of business. I would love to guide you and your family or friends through a yoga practice. Here is a brief bio of my experience. Katherine fell in love with yoga over 10 years ago for both its meditative and physically challenging aspects. It changed her perspective on what it truly means to be healthy. Practicing almost every day, it became such a staple and part of her being. An avid runner, with 4 marathons under her belt, she found that practicing yoga was the perfect balance physically and emotionally. The changes to me were unbelievable and I continue to be amazed how much yoga has enhanced my life. Teaching has certainly become a passion of mine and I am so excited to share my energy. I love to see my students learn how to become present and grounded. Being able to take the power of breath and use it in everyday life is something I love to see. Finding solitude, gratification and positive energy is a goal of mine. Being mindful of the world we live in and everything that surrounds us is as important as taking care of your mind, body and soul. I am so thankful to have yoga in my life.
