We had a complicated move on a busy day: the first of the month, moving a 2-bedroom and a 1-bedroom into a brand new 3-bedroom on the third floor, and USA Moving and Storage could not have been more wonderful. They were absolutely fantastic. Their estimate of the number of movers needed, the time it would take, and the price was spot-on. They put additional packing and wrappings on items that seemed fragile or expensive, and made sure everything got into our new place safely. They were very nice, incredibly hard-working, and such a tremendous team to have on our moving day.

We hired Alliance Movers, this was my first time using professional movers and I was a little apprehensive, but everything went off perfectly, and I was very happy I hired movers. They were on time, professional, came out to give us a free quote and provide totes and wardrobe boxes. They were polite, helpful, fast, and quick at their work. Items were well packed and handled carefully. Would recommend them in a second and without any reservations!

Great Lakes Van Lines sent four movers and truck to move us one month ago. We had done the packing ahead of time. The movers were very quick and careful loading the things. Some of our rather delicate items were excellently loaded by the crew and every piece was delivered without a single scratch on any of them. The movers checked to ensure that nothing was missing and that everything was in the right condition. It was perfect work by these perfect guys.

Twice within the last year my organization has used Move-tastic to move valuable equipment and materials related to my organizations programming. The organization understood what we needed, helped us plan our move and were very response to our needs. The actual movers were friendly, hard working and very careful with the handling of our equipment. We will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Recently I have moved to VA from FL. I used Supreme Moving for the move. The sales rep took all necessary initiatives to execute the move perfectly. The team of arrived on time, they came well prepared. They had a specific plan for my move which was executed perfectly by them. Though they had to deal with so many things and where they had to encounter plenty of fragile items and heavy furniture but still the movers did not panic for a second. They kept their cool, stayed focused and always kept an eye on the deadline. As a result I got a picture perfect move within my budget and within the schedule.

It is a long distance we were moving. But we just had to move and we hired My Chicago Moving to handle the job simple because of their good reputation as long distance movers. One of my friends moved last month and he complained about some of his stuffs going missing. I was quite concerned about that too. It was a cross country move after all and the movers may have a hundred reasons why things could just disappear. Luckily, when both vans reached on time and I checked the inventory, nothing went missing. Everything was delivered in the state they left my house. The final bill matched the estimated quote. It turned out to be the easiest move ever. I felt totally relieved and grateful.

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless you’re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
