We really enjoyed working with Chef Kevin. He developed a perfect (and very reasonable) menu for my mother’s 90th birthday party (a late afternoon reception). We had 50 people attending and he reassured me all along the way that the event would go well, and it did! Chef and his assistant arrived early, helped set up the room for better flow, arranged the food and punch tables, and added lovely special touches such as red roses and petals on the serving tables. Guests praised the food and my mother is still raving about the event. Many thanks to Chef Kev! We highly recommend him.

Angie of Honey Do Planners is the BEST Planner!! I needed help planning my girlfriend's baby shower. I took on the task to plan the shower myself for her because unfortunately all her close family and friends reside out of town. I had no clue what I had gotten myself into. So I decided to make it a full baby shower party with 65 guests. I did a search on Thumbtack and I hired Honey Do. Angie is very professional, understanding and kind. In a nut shell she's awesome! She helped me every step of the way answered all my questions, made herself available when needed, and gave me many options to make the event special. Honey Do knows the ins and outs of planning events. With a beautiful local office and vendors on her team, she created and crafted the event to be awesome. It was better than what I had believed I could have of done on my own. Every detail was talked about and discussed and we developed a great working friendship. Shawanna planned my baby shower, and my son's 1st and 2nd birthday parties. All 3 events turned out beyond expectations. Each theme was carefully thought out and perfectly executed. Shawanna has a very intricate eye for detail, so you can expect everything to be creatively crafted, from the invitations down to the favors. The favors are definitely always one of a kind. My favorite is the balloon arches. Hard to believe they are handmade; they look like something out of a catalog. I would definitely recommend Exclusive Bashes for anyone who is planning an event. It was a distinct pleasure to work with Dee and Coast to Coast Event Staffing. They helped to make my poolside backyard bar-b-q graduation party a memorable event. They provided excellent services. The guests at my affair continue to remark on the services provided by the staff. They could not have been more professional or pleasant. There was no task to difficult to ask. When my now wife and I set out to plan our wedding, we were one of those couples who thought hiring a planner was unnecessary. We had roughly 6 months to pull it off. We fancy ourselves as reasonably intelligent and financially responsible people and we thought that was plenty of time. Fast forward 4 months. The stress began to mount and panic had set in. Our budget is dwindling. We broke down and decided to hire a day-of coordinator. Better late than never, but who do we call? Every one we spoke to was either way too expensive or not the right fit personality wise. Thanks to Thumbtack, we found Vanessa. We are incredibly happy we did and we couldn't have pulled off our awesome wedding without her. Here's just a few of the reasons why: 1) Attitude - She has the PERFECT demeanor for event planning. She kept us on track, but was never pushy. Very personable and easy to talk to. Every time we spoke to her we felt both at ease and motivated to check more off of our list. 2) Creativity - Simply put she has great ideas. Whether it was decor, logistics, floor planning, etc., she listened to our inputs (which weren't always in lockstep - welcome to married life) but put here own spin on things. Our wedding was weeks ago and we still are getting comments on how beautiful everything was. 3) Contacts - Vanessa made great recommendations for vendors, and didn't do so based on any kickbacks or financial gain to herself. In fact, we had one vendor who was somewhat flaky that we had already booked. She was able to line up a "just in case" vendor for us. 4) Organization - Nothing fell through the cracks and she thought of small details we didn't have the capacity to (because we were too busy being crazy pants). 5) Value - She is worth every penny and I would argue she is a bargain for the service she provides. This is especially in comparison to other planners out there. If you need help planning an event, not just a wedding, we highly suggest you reach out to Vanessa @ Little Black Book. You absolutely will not regret it.

Amazing wonderful diverse and elegant beyond measure. My experience was phenomenal. On time delivery, and very sweet girl. I couldn't believe the amount of dazzle we received. She is very hard working. Had her for 3 events. A Baby shower, couldn't believe that she could customize all the accessories in Swarovski crystals in such a small budget, had printed napkins and utensils just for us :) The second occasion we had a Birthday party for a 1 year old "Mickey Mouse Theme" Surprised all of us. Couldn't have asked for more. My birthday Party was the best there is, best I had, food was great. She is very hard working, talented, experienced and well travelled. Sad to know she left CA. Highly recommended.

We have a small office in Waynesboro where each year we get together to enjoy a small Christmas party complete with a Christmas dinner style luncheon. This year our budget was very strict so we were having a hard time finding a caterer and were thinking we would have to try and cook the meal ourselves and then bring it to work and try to keep it warm for lunch. and then I found thumbtack and through them we discovered the amazing Lil' Blue Cafe. Pamela came to us with her son and provided us with a delicious Christmas dinner style meal. The turkey and ham were so delicious and tender! The mashed potatoes and gravy were amazing! And my favorite was the mouthwatering macaroni and cheese! We were also treated with green beans, sweet potato with marshmallow topping and dinner rolls and cranberry relish. Everything was just so tasty that all of us are hoping and planning to invite her to cater again and again for next year. We had such a fabulous experience with Kimberly and her staff! Coming from an event-planning background myself, I was more of a type-A bride than I would like to admit. Two weeks before the wedding, I handed Kimberly a 40-pg field manual (unsolicited) with detailed instructions on how to set up the venue and a timeline detailing the day's events down to the minute. I'll be the first person to admit that it was not an easy road map to follow, and Kimberly and her staff executed it perfectly. The decorations looked better than I had ever imagined and the whole event ran incredibly smoothly, despite my husband and I making several changes to the plan on the day of the wedding. She and her staff were in excellent communication with our DJ, MC, and live musician, and virtually unseen by the rest of the guests. Moreover, she maintained an incredible attitude throughout and was a joy to work with. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience and I know our guests would agree!

I would whole heartedly recommend having Michelle Farmer plan your party or event. Prior to using her services I had the pleasure of attending a bachelorette party, wedding shower, and baby shower planned and organized by her. Each had a wonderful theme that was tasteful, with unique and hand crafted touches that served as keepsakes for the guest and honoree. You could tell she had developed a rapport with the client, catering staff, and venue staff. The events felt relaxed and fun, but at the same time in retrospect you could tell there was no awkward moments as things naturally progressed from games, gift openings, eating and chatting, all while she worked unobtrusively to see to the needs of the hostess and guests. As an Executive Assistant and Meeting Planner, I admired her tact, poise, and welcoming demeanor at each event. The hostesses have all sung her praise and it prompted me to use her for an event of my own. She worked tirelessly and delivered a flawless evening for myself and my friends. She graciously assisted in the development of a theme that fit my tastes and gave valuable input on how it could be tailored to me personally. Her work with the menu took into account varied tastes and budget along with the theme. She also provided hand crafted items to compliment the décor that set the evening apart and were practically Martha. Definitely use her services if you are able to set you apart from the other rounds of dinner parties and showers.

We never had a wedding ceremony and reception when we eloped 10 years ago. Now that we had the funds, and our 10-year anniversary was coming up, we thought it would be a good time to finally have the wedding we never had. I am so glad we hired a wedding planner. We knew we wouldn't have time to research the vendors, nor know which vendor to choose, and we wanted everything to go smoothly on the day of the wedding. Tynise of Pure Elegance Events did all the work we knew we didn't have time to do and presented various vendors for our wedding for us to choose. She stayed in constant contact with us throughout the preparations, and followed up on our questions and comments via emails. We told her exactly what we wanted, and she made sure to make it happen. Even though we started the planning a few months later than normal, Tynise made everything work while staying within budget. On the day of, Tynise brought two assistants to help out the bridal party while she was running logistics with the hotel coordinator. Even the DJ commented on how she was on top of things. When everything was over, she and her assistants helped the hotel staff clean up everything that evening, both in the ballroom and ceremony room, so there was no need for us to wake up early the next day and clean up. Nothing went wrong on wedding day. Absolutely nothing. Everything was set up perfectly, and we were able to view the reception set up before the ceremony began. We also tried to help out by giving Tynise a printed layout of how we wanted things set up, a full list of the ceremony and reception items, the wedding party's names and contact information, and specific requests as early in the planning as possible. Tynise and her assistants, Amanda and Katie, were the best. Hiring Pure Elegance Events was the best decision we made.

A few things to know about my favorite event planner and designer: 1. She is amazingly creative. 2. She can work with any budget. That girl is a thrifter! 3. Jacqueline Wiggins is about her business! When I met with her she was very well organized, professional and always made me feel sure about her work. Each and every event she has planned for me thus far was over the top and totally more than I expected. She did my 40th birthday party wedding style, the decorations were on point from front to back. My party was in Temple Hills, MD and she got their 4 hours ahead of time, decorated and stayed to make sure my photographer and DJ was on their job. The last event she did for me was a baby shower. Jacqueline planned the shower in 2 weeks, I had no theme in mind, and with the help of her she put it all together and it was nothing but the best! She went above and beyond the call of duty to make me feel happy! She was always on time, and the quality of her service is so great that I will never ever use another vendor.
