Reshonda E. says, "I had a very good experience with King, he was professional, polite, and showed up on time and actually even sooner than I expected. He was able to replace my dishwasher part timely post the purchase of the part which he found quickly on Amazon, so overall it was great. My only suggestion is to check the appliance to ensure it’s broken prior to repair. My dishwasher did not need a pump replacement, once the pump was replaced, the dishwasher did not drain when hooked to garbage disposal, but it did drain to a bucket (this step should have been performed first prior to part replacement), he determined the garbage disposal had a block, so I called the plumber. The plumber forgot to remove the knock out plug from my newly installed garbage disposal. Once that was repaired the dishwasher drained when hooked up to the garbage disposal with no issues. FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Yes, repairing a Bosch washing machine is often a good investment, as they are built to last. If your machine is under ten years old, a repair is typically much more cost-effective than buying a new one. Consider the repair cost versus the price of a replacement to make the best decision for your budget.

Many common problems are related to draining, strange noises during the spin cycle, or the door not unlocking after a wash. These issues can be caused by anything from a clogged filter to worn-out motor brushes. A repair professional can pinpoint the exact problem and let you know the best way to fix it.

Before hiring a Bosch washing machine repair technician, be sure to ask your pro these questions:

  • How much experience do you have repairing Bosch washing machines, and have you worked on my specific model before?

  • Are you licensed, bonded, and insured to perform appliance repairs?

  • Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on your repair work and any new parts?

  • Can you provide a detailed estimate that breaks down the costs for labor and parts?

  • What is the estimated timeline for diagnosing the problem and completing the repair?

  • Will you be using genuine Bosch parts or aftermarket alternatives, and why?

  • What are your payment terms, and what is your policy if the problem returns after the service?

It will usually take one to three hours for a professional to complete Bosch washing machine repair. Factors that may impact how long it takes include:

  • Problem diagnosis: The time it takes to identify the specific issue can vary depending on the complexity of the problem.

  • Part availability: If a specific Bosch part isn't in the technician's truck, they may need to order it, which can add time.

  • Accessibility: A washing machine that's difficult to access in a tight space may take longer to work on.

  • The repair's complexity: Replacing a simple component like a hose is much quicker than a major repair involving the motor or drum.

  • Post-repair testing: Your pro will likely run a full cycle to confirm the machine is working correctly before they leave.

Remember: The timeline for your project will vary depending on many factors. Always ask your pro to provide an estimate.

Before your pro arrives to repair your Bosch washing machine, take these steps to ensure a safe and efficient appointment:

Step 1: Clear the work area. Remove any laundry baskets, detergents, or other items from on top of and around your washer so the pro has space to work.

Step 2: Empty the machine completely. Make sure to take out any clothes, and if possible, drain any standing water from the drum.

Step 3: Note the details of the problem. Be ready to share your washer's model number and a clear description of the issue you're experiencing.

Step 4: Ensure safe and easy access. Clear a path from the door to your laundry area and make sure any pets are secured in another room.

Step 5: Disconnect the power supply. For safety, unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet before your pro arrives.
