Awesome. David was on scene the first hour to ensure the team was on track. It was a long 12 hour day and 20000 lbs later all good were moved to my new home. Originally David had 5 movers coming, but ended up bringing 6 due to the size of the job at no additional cost. Aside from my shoes getting lost (have no idea how that happened) :) the move to my 5 bedroom was pretty smooth. If anything I was not prepared enough, and the additional free wardrobe boxes were a huge assist!! I negotiated a flat rate with David to avoid the possible extended move, which was about 1/2 of lowest price quote I had. Thanks David and the team for a job well done. Mike
A fantabulous service by the moving staff! The foreman was a very effective communicator! There were some rushing towards the end and some items were mishandled, but I believe those kinds of damages come with the territory. Moving is not an easy thing for anyone to go through. I'm glad I was able to get it done swiftly without being too frustrated. Definitely would get back with Rose to do my own moving and definitely would refer her, if my friends and family need help with their moves.
These movers are incredibly professional. They were easy to work with and their rate was also very reasonable. They arrived on time and made sure to finish the move within the estimated time. Prompt, precise, and effective. I added an extra pickup on short notice and they easily accommodated. The crew was courteous and capable. They wrapped everything as if it was the most important thing in the world and they knew just what to take apart for easier transport. Everything went right back together on arrival. They also hooked up my new washer for me. I would definitely use these guys again. Top notch service at a very affordable rate.
Bede and his helper showed up on time and at the time I asked for. He was very pleasant to deal with up to the day of the move and not aggressive and was very straightforward. This house we were moving from was tricky to maneuver a large dresser around and he did it like a pro. No issues. And in decent time. I'd use him again for another move like this. And and the price was reasonable up front so I didn't have to negotiate or worry.
The movers were professional, careful, and strong! They moved me out of a ground level condo to a condo with over 40 steps. Although the task was arduous (climbing steps in hot sun and temps). All of my belongings arrived in-tact and in working condition - including 3 flat TVs (42 inch - 48 inch), computers, and glasses. They dissembled and resembled two queen size beds and 1 large entertainment center. Value was worth money spent! I took the flat rate $900.00 - so there were no surprises at the end. The manager, Danny, is extremely professional and stayed in contact with me throughout. I would recommend Pack-n-Move. (Note, I did not rate them on punctuality because they were 1/2 delayed - but no fault of theirs. Traffic on beltway (695) is always a hassle.
I'd prefer to give 3.5 stars, not quite a 4-star experience, but not a 3-star. Very generally, since we all expect a "good level of services", I'll just briefly mention the "good" aspects: They were on-time after settling on a time, the movers were good guys and worked hard, the equipment/truck were good and up to par (though they very heavily relied on my building's carts which were much better than theirs, it may have been HOURS longer if I didn't provide them), all of our stuff was moved at the end of the day and it was totally successful, they cared for our stuff for the most part, etc. I would use them again. However, there is the "less good" for people who want to know. All that being said, some gripes I had: 1) We settled on a time, then it was changed, then it was changed back, but in these communications he had misunderstood and they came at a later hour which we had not confirmed, but it worked out fine and no bid deal. 2) The quote I received said, very clearly, that there are no other hidden charges/fees than what was quoted. However, when I called and finally went to book, he surprised me with two things which really frustrated me: a) there was a "gas surcharge" or something for DC service, never mentioned in the quote, so that added another $30-35 to my price. b) when we confirmed, he tried to charge a higher rate "because it is a Sunday move", which is bologna in my opinion. My request that I put in the system clearly said a Sunday move-date, so the quote should be in reference to that. After my insistence he finally ceded and gave me the regular rate, but we ended moving on Monday anyway. 3) He promised a bunch of wardrobe boxes, but there were not enough, and they were in pretty bad condition. In the end he charged me less for those (again, an extra charge) than I received and let me keep them (which is nice, but what do I need the boxes for after the move). 4) He promised a TV box for the TV, but that was not included either, which ended up being fine anyway and we made do. 5) Only one piece of furniture had some damage, the legs to a tall book case, but not a huge deal and honestly this is expected when going with a low-cost option, and having less-than-top-quality furniture. 6) It took about an hour longer than guesstimated which was a bit frustrating and added to the cost, but so it goes. When I called to go over some of these things, he was responsive, though at some points a little bit difficult or dismissive and I had to fuss a bit to get what was offered, or my concerns were shrugged off. So long-story-short, you get what you pay for!! If you're looking to save a pretty penny, go with these guys! It all was fine in the end and we successfully moved and the moving guys were good people. I would use the service again.
This company deserves overall a Zero! I hired them to help me move my 1 bedroom apartment from MD to DC. I should have cancelled it from the very beginning when they wanted to charge me extra money for using my credit card vs cash!!?? Moving day: The time for arrival was set for 4 pm. The owner kept on postponing the arrival time with various stories why they were being late. I told them we needed to be at my building by 8pm as that was the end of the moving in time window and the building loading dock was closing at that time. I send several texts and tried calling multiple times to the company. They arrived close to 7 pm. WE arrived at my building late. I had to waste my time looking for a security guard who was kind enough to cooperate with us and let us use another loading dock which was a real hike to my entrance ( another extra hour wasted) . My plants were broken and I feared other items did too. And I was right. I demanded discount for the service and to be also reimbursed for the broken items. we negotiated discount and as I was tired and frustrated i agreed to 15% off. As for the reimbursement, I was told to send them all the photos of broken items and estimated cost. I did. Even after a number of emails and phone calls and almost 2 and a half months after the service, I have not been reimbursed yet. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
I had a long distance move from Fairfax VA, to Philadelphia. I was very pleased with the 2 hardworking movers that came, Ronado & Hubert!!!!! However the truck that I had was not large enough. I did tell Ali that I had a lot of things and very bulky furniture, but he felt that with a 1 bedroom apartment everything would fit in a 14ft truck, but then said I will send you a 18ft truck. And as I knew everything couldn't fit I needed the 24ft truck. He, the boss, proposed that I would have to leave things behind as we were behind on schedule, and he would have to cancel my move. The 2 workers were so honorable and hard working and we were able to fit everything into the truck and my car!!!! It took some rearranging but it was accomplished due to the patience and deligence of Ronado and Hubert, despite the bosses pressure to just leave me there and unload the truck, or leave some of my things behind.Then once we got to the storage, he began to call and say that the payment needed to be paid before unloading the truck, that was annoying, but I did make sure that it happened! Maybe he had a bad experience with another customer or something, so I just let it go!!!! But I did name my price for a move on Sunday May 31st 2015, everything was boxed and packed by me, also all my things were disassembled, so they only needed to do was protect all my glass tables and furniture, load the truck, drive to Philadelphia, unload to the storage unit and drive to my second location and unload the few items left, ALL of this was done for a AMAZING PRICE $600 dollars flat rate!!!! And because the 2 movers were so great I tipped them $50 a piece!!!! So this was a $700 dollar move total, all I really could afford with excellent workers!!! So despite the few annoyances I was very pleased with my move!!! And would recommend them, just be clear on what size vehicle that you need, and bigger is always better, but it all worked out!!! On a 1-10 scale with 10 a perfect score, Ground Force One Moving is an 11! Richard and his partner were professional, courteous, punctual, and performed flawlessly. They were hired to pick up and return a 350 lb. elliptical machine to a store. They protected the floor with blankets, carefully avoided hitting doorways, and placed it where the store manager requested. With confidence, I highly recommend this family owned and operated moving business for all your moving needs, small or large.
What an amazing company! They were punctual, professional, and gave a great price for their moving service. This was the best company and was able to accommodate my needs at short notice. In addition, this was the first company that didn't damage my furniture, or news up the walls trying to get the furniture moved. I'd definitely recommend their service and plan to use them in the future myself.
I’m giving them 5 stars for following reasons: (1) they were pretty consistent with communication (2) they really wanted 5 star review so they gave me money back for the damage and the time their movers disappeared (3) they did show up on time. If I have to honestly rate the work itself, I would rate it 3.5 for the following reasons (1) the movers took 45 minutes to arrive at the destination, even though it was only 7 miles away and there was no traffic or accident. (2) Minor damage to the bookshelf which they gave me a refund as well but the refund check took about 3 weeks to arrive. (3) The movers were getting tired, or trying to milk the time, so unloading was slow - I ended up telling them to put everything in the first floor and I moved all the upstairs boxes myself. (4) The initial estimate did not include the distant fee, even though I provided my address in the post. So when they gave me the quote and I followed up, it was a surprise for me and made me wonder if there was going to be additional charges that I wasn’t aware. There was no more additional fee, but I wish they would have addressed it from the beginning. (5) the movers did not have change, so I had to overpay, which they refunded me with the damage refund. They charge fee for credit card so I didn’t want to charge it on my card - if they are expecting cash transaction, they should be carrying cash for change. Overall I am satisfied - the job was done on time and the movers were courteous. I just wish they didn’t do shady things to milk the time, because the people who are in charge of this company seemed really eager and trying to keep customers happy. They did refund for the time the movers disappeared, and the damage on the bookshelf and the amount I overpaid. In that sense, they are pretty honest. And for that I would give 5 stars.
Mario and Doug were great! They were careful with our furniture and very professional. You might think that since they were paid a flat rate that they would just want to rush through things to be done sooner, but that was not the case with these two gentlemen. They really took the time to do the job right; packing, loading, unloading and putting the furniture together. Our stuff made it safe and sound. Great crew and a great company!
We had a move that took only three hours within Northern Virginia, Fairfax Co., but the whole move was great, and very cost effective with their flat rate. We prepared our furniture for the move, packed our boxes, and the EZ movers protected our furniture with their padding and wrap, loaded everything onto their truck, and off we went 6 miles from one location to another. Then they unpacked everything, placed it in the location we wanted, and helped to organize and clean up the packing stuff we did not need. We found both Evans and his colleague very professional, and well organized. We definitely would recommend them to others.
Clifton and Anthony did an amazing job of packing and moving my belongings and were very efficient. They arrived a little earlier than expected which was great, and took great care of everything I needed to have moved. Their rates are very reasonable, and they are great with communication. In addition to being very professional, they are also very pleasant and personable. This was a very stress free moving experience and I highly recommend their services!
Peace Services was AMAZING. We needed a couch and desk plus a few odds and ends and trash hauled out of our apt on short notice, and Luis and Ashley were on time and incredibly friendly abd professional! They were done in no time flat. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I just don't have enough good words to give them!
My family and I relocated from DC to FL. Matthew's Nationwide Moving was FANTASTIC and made this transition easy for us. Some background: I did my due diligence on movers and expected the worst from the experience. I read horror story after horror story about how companies, both large and small alike, will quote you a price and then up-charge you at delivery (sometimes double or triple the quoted price) and withhold your furniture until you pay. There were endless stories about delivery times of two or more weeks past the promised date, leaving people stranded in empty homes. And, of course, there were the stories of broken furniture due to negligence. I faced NONE of these issues with Matthews. Here are the key pieces that made me love hiring this company: Communication: Matthew and Holly were great at communicating with me throughout the entire process. They were clear, they were diligent, and I never waited more than 24 hours for a response - that's customer service! Price: Fantastic price. It was not the least expensive out of the 10 companies I quoted, but it was the second most affordable option. I won't list the price here because I don't want to undermine any sales structure they may have in place, but it was an absolutely fair price for all that they did. Trust: They were transparent! The rate they quoted was the rate we were charged, no gimmicks. The services quoted were the services we received, no alterations. Also, they took the time from the very beginning to recognize how to correctly spell my name, a level of detail rarely afforded in our fast-paced society. Makes life easy when you can trust the people you hire. Service: We had TJ and D as our movers (Alex also assisted with the first part of the trip). These guys were great and got the job done. They called when they said they would call and were there when they said they would be there. They got right to work and made life hassle-free. You know how I mentioned that I read stories about broken furniture? We did not have that issue with these guys. Everything was wrapped with extreme care and it was evident that they were gentle and considerate with our furniture. So, thank you to everyone at Matthew's who made this move the least stressful part of our relocation. If you want a no-hassle mover, especially if you're relocating a long distance, look no further than this company.
We called them on Christmas day in the evening because we had way to much left to pack before our December 27th move. They answered the phone and said they could come out the next morning, which was a federal holiday and help us pack up. They gave us an amazingly reasonable rate and two people came out and packed enough stuff in five hours that it would have taken us 24 hours to pack. Enock and Michael were professional, friendly, efficient, and really good at their job. The amount of stress they saved us was tremendous, as well. We will be recommending them to family and friends in the future.
Look no further and hire Terrance! We are repeat customers and recently hired Terrance for a same building move. Terrance and his assistant were wonderful! He communicated quickly and consistently. Additionally, he arrived on time and finished the job in only an hour. He quoted us a very competitive flat rate price. Overall, he was fantastic! We will definitely be using him for our next move too!
Charlie was very responsive and communicated throughout the process. He and his guys moved my stuff very quickly. It was a few pieces of furniture and about a dozen boxes that were moving from my in-law's about 7 miles away to me, and everything was already completely moved into my house within an hour of when he had arrived at my in-law's. That being said, he gave me a two hour arrival window and arrived about 20 minutes after the window. though he did text toward the end of the window with an ETA. His guys also seemed to be more concerned with moving quickly than with being careful, though nothing they moved was damaged at all. I've had very conscientious movers who treated my beat up furniture like antiques and worried about leaving muddy footprints in my house, and these guys weren't like that, but movers like that are hard to find and Charlie and his guys did the job they were hired to do, did it quickly, and did it for the agreed upon flat rate price.
They were the first to respond and charged a flat fee. He was on time, brought tools, a tarp to keep dust and debris to a minimum, built the furniture, and then vacuumed, and helped me with the boxes. Great experience!
