Hattie went above and beyond! Dog of elderly woman hadn't been groomed or seen by vet in probably years. Hattie was originally going to groom in the home, but I was worried about anxiety of owner, so she agreed to pick up dog, groom in her salon and bring back. She didn't ask for any increase in price. Dog had swelling, long nails, irritation in sensitive areas. The grooming took much longer than anticipated. I was the one who suggested a higher price -- only seemed fair for all the time she put into making the dog handsome as he can be. Highly recommend her!

This is my first time ever using Thumbtack and I was a little bit skeptical, but I went ahead and booked Stef's cat sitting service as her reviews seem to be very good. At first, I booked basic cat visiting service. However, just the day before the trip, my cat got an abscess burst. I had to take her to the vet and requested some extra services from Stef, but she was very accommodating. My cat seems very happy when I'm back home, food, water and litter pan well taken care of. Stef sent me messages everyday to update me on my cat's condition. Plus points in Stef's services: responsiveness and quality. She did everything to make sure my requests are fulfilled. I can't thank her enough for putting my mind at ease while being away and my cat was sick. Overall five star service!

Nikki was a great dogsitter for our English bulldog and blue tick hound mix, providing an impressive level of care while keeping us very informed. She visited for a very comprehensive meet and greet before her twice daily visits, her vet tech background is so helpful and our dogs connected with her right away. This was so reassuring to know on our over week long international travels, especially with her many informative and fun, caring email updates, even keeping an eye on our home and caring for our fish as well. We are very happy to have found a wonderful pettsitting service and look forward to using Zorger's Pet Care again soon! Many Thanks, Calista & Jay

My two kitties were well taken care of during my vacation. One was a bit sick and under the weather when I had to depart, but since Shatiya is a vet tech I felt comfortable leaving him in her care. She sent daily updates and usually included photos as well. A few small things were overlooked, like leaving my A/C on full blast when no one was home, but overall a very good experience!

Mariel was caring and I loved the way my dogs smelled after their bath :-) Their nails were trimmed and it was a great experience for them since they did not have to sit in a crate for several hours at the vet.

Hillary has been walking our puppy Chauncey during the week while we are away at work for the past 3-4 weeks. She is great to work with and very trustworthy. Our Chauncey loves her! There is never accidents in the house when we get home and Hillary leaves us notes or text messages letting us know what she did with Chauncey and if he went potty while she was there. She has been working out great and we hope to keep her business for a long time!

Ms. Sunday cared for our 3 cats for 10 days. She cleaned out their boxes, provided food an water for them. I addition, she gave them their meds, played with them, and brushed them. When she had a question, she contacted the vet to check on the best plan. She even brought in our mail for us! I am so happy to find someone who loves cats, is trustworthy, and thoughtful.

I am beyond exceptionally impressed with Adam of Wags & Purrs Pet Care. I called him on rather short notice last week, and when he came to my home to meet my crew -- a Great Pyrenees, two parrots, a cat and my indoor-kept Pekin duck, Adam was not fazed – not even about caring for a duck! He was very businesslike and asked all the appropriate questions an experienced pet sitter would ask. I liked the idea of hiring a vet tech, but when I met him, I also immediately felt comfortable with his easy-going and professional manner. Even though my trip was stressful, because I was 1,500 miles away for my 94-year-old mother’s surgery, I never, EVER once "worried" about how things were going at home, because Adam kept me apprised of every detail. I’m sometimes a worrier, but I was very impressed with Adam’s ability to handle anything that arose. His reliability and consistency were immediately evident, and when my two-day trip suddenly turned into three because of a massive blizzard, Adam picked up the third day without hesitation. He faithfully texted me after his twice-a-day visits, but he did much more than that. He sent me lots of pix of my pets, video clips, and always updated me on how they were doing. Adam was never, ever in a "rush" when we talked or texted, which says so much about his dedication to animal care. I am confident Adam genuinely cares about animals’ health, safety and welfare, and clearly doesn't see pet-sitting as "just a job." He is extremely responsible and detail oriented, and even stopped by a time or two just to check on things. I knew I found the right person for the job with my varied crew when Adam took it upon himself to make friends with my African Grey, 18, who NEVER goes to anyone except me! I was beyond shocked and impressed!! Greys are extremely cautious of anything and anyone "new," but mine undoubtedly sensed Adam was trustworthy, and sat on his hand every day! In the pictures Adam sent me, my Grey looked so content! I have always made sure my parrots’ cage doors are secure to avoid “escapes,” but when Adam took it upon himself to open the parrots’ doors -- and my Grey let Adam handle him, that’s when I was convinced WITHOUT a doubt that Adam is “the” sitter for my crew. He was extremely attentive to all of my "family" members, and even my standoffish cat kissed him on the nose. Adam made sure my duck had her bath to exercise her arthritic legs, and prepared her salads and watermelon in addition to her the regular diet. In fact, he did not hesitate to take care of every little detail each pet needed -- and took it upon himself to do much more. I was also very impressed with his respect for a client's home. Of course, he made sure my home was secure and never hesitated to call and text when he had a question or concern. But he also treated my home and my family like his own. My landline rings incessantly (it's only backup), and Adam called me because he was worried someone was trying to reach me! My laundry sink overflowed (my fault for not advising him!) and he was very concerned about it. Not only did he clean up, he even improvised a “new” cat litter box when my kitty’s box became wet from the sink issue. Amazing. When I came home last evening, I honestly wondered if my critter crew was a bit disappointed it wasn't Adam coming back! They were all so content, and that simply spoke volumes about Adam’s care. I hope to keep him as my permanent pet sitter for a long, long time -- and I know my “family” feels the same way. Terri M C, Nov. 26, 2015

Kelly is amazing! My dog does not like to be groomed and prior to finding Kelly our only option was to fully sedate her and shave her once a year. I explained this to Kelly and asked that she come to meet my dog. She stopped by and my dog quickly came up to her and let Kelly pet her and even licked her a few times. Kelly was able to bathe, dry, and give her the cutest cut. I was astonished that she was able to groom my dog. I thought my only resort to grooming my dog was to take her to the vet to be sedated. Not anymore! Kelly is a miracle worker and she is officially the only person who will groom my dog.

Our cats loved her, we loved her! When my husband and I nearly missed our flight on our way back from vacation, we had a hundred things to worry about. The one thing we didn't have to consider was whether our two cats would be ok because we had hired Jonann. We knew should would go the extra mile in ensuring our pets would be ok even if we were delayed and she would care for them, as she had all week, with love. Hired extremely last minute, Jonann was terrific, communicative, reliable, and diligent. We came home to happy cats!

Superb group of caring professionals! Run My Dog has helped me with everything from feeding my cat while I was gone to assisting me with my dog after an emergency vet visit. Robbyn and her team are very accommodating and just seem to really enjoy being with the animals. They give great updates after the walk (sometimes I even get pictures), use positive reinforcement and will even pay close attention to any special training techniques I may be using. My Truman can be quite hyper but I always get positive feedback, and, I feel like special attention is paid to his needs. They are flexible, kind and caring and would recommend Run My Dog to anyone needing this kind of service.

For years, I've been bringing my cat Mittens here anytime I go away. The kitty accomidations are absolutly PHENOMINAL!!! Mittens stays in a room reserverd just for cats, away from all the dogs and she isn't kept in a small, metal cage like at the vets, she has this HUGE cat condo or townhouse... I dont even know what it is but it's AMAZING!! And she can see the other cats through the clear plastic walls seperating the condos. Even though she's not too social, I feel better that she sees she's not alone. The prices are great, the staff is knowledgeable and I can tell they all are animal lovers themselves. I will never take Mittens anywhere else especially not now that she's been spoiled by this hidden gem of a place!!!

Feeling most appreciative and pleased ! Amy kindly arranged for her associate to come to our place and help clip dear old, big boy kitty's nails (so don't have to drag him to vet just for this or keep burdening friends to help). We had our first session today, and Amy's associate Divya was great ! Flexible, professional, prompt, clearly experienced w/ cats, affectionate w/ my kitty; calm/composed and therefore calming for my cat (and me), very personable and pleasant. I'm grateful to her-- and to Amy -- and look forward to working w/ them again (and again). =^..^=

Almost as soon as I posted on Thumbtack, she responded. I called her and we talked about the dog, my concerns, special needs, etc. She told me she had 12 years experience as a Vet Tech and at least 7 years of grooming. She was very knowledgeable and put me at ease. We set up an appointment for 4 days later. She was on time, worked well with my dog, and she looked good afterward. The most important is that my dog was not upset and seemed happy. The cost was the same price that I had been paying for mobile grooming. I set up appointments for a year and did that per email with a prompt reply. I am very happy with Danielle.

I can't say enough good things about Joe and Your Virginia Pets R My pets! Leaving our dog Ellie home is always stressful for us, but knowing she gets to spend time with Joe puts our mind at ease. Joe became familiar with Ellie’s routine so she would have consistency, writes us details about his visit so we know how things went, and has been flexible with our very inconsistent schedule. Joe is a natural with animals and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a pet sitter for their beloved pet.

I used to feel anxious about leaving my cat at home when I traveled and never thought I would take him to a boarding place, but after meeting Ashleigh (who also works at the vet I take my cat to) I knew he'd be in great hands. You can tell she really cares about animals. My cat has stayed with her several times and he's always been in great spirits when I pick him up. I highly recommend the Inn!

I actually heard about this Doggie Daycare from a lady in my neighborhood while I was walking my Great Dane puppy down the street. I was hesitant at first--I could barely trust close friends to watch my baby! However, after meeting with Ahsan and Bilal, all of my fears vanished. They are the sweetest, most caring business owners around. The Daycare is spotless...not just when you show up, but all the time. The awesome crew there takes the dogs out for walks consistently throughout the day so that they can do their business outside (in a regular kennel, your dog would be evacuating in his surroundings). Large and small dogs are separated into two different indoor areas, and there are now two outdoors areas for them as well. My Billie loves going there. When I wake up in the morning and ask, "Do you want to go see the puppies?" She goes nuts! She can't wait to get inside. When I pick her up, she is always exhausted and happy. The best part is that she's pretty calm for a couple days following one visit. Taking her there also helped with socializing. Now, when we're going for a walk down the street, she doesn't want to run up to other dogs and cause a disruption anymore. The best part? If Billie doesn't eat her lunch, they even give the food back to me when I show up. That extra caring really counts!! Stop by for a visit... You will be so happy you did!! :)

I found Michelle through Thumbtack and I'm so happy I did. We adopted our dog at around 7 months and she had no previous obedience training at all. In Michelle's Basic class, we were able to teach her to sit, stay, watch, down, and other basic commands. More importantly, we taught her to listen to us. We are in the middle of Intermediate training right now, and I plan to go on to Advanced. Our dog has shown such a huge improvement from when we first got her. Michelle offers great advice about basic training methods and also takes the time to answer any specific training or behavior questions you have. I highly recommend Michelle.

Dee, the owner of Romes Paws, is AMAZING. A neighbor recommended her when we had a very last-minute need for a pet sitter. Within an hour, I had confirmation from her and a VERY reasonable rate. She spent the whole morning with our puppy and had pictures and a full update to share when I got home. Our puppy ended up getting sick a few days later and needing intensive veterinary care. Dee is a vet tech so we contacted her immediately and she gave plenty of advice and offered to help us provide care for him when he is ready to come home. She is a true animal lover and is so responsive to her clients. Other services I contacted only offered walks, not day-time pet setting. They also required a very formal home visit before they would work with us. By contrast, Dee was really flexible and handled everything quickly over email. I can recommend Romes Paws wholeheartedly to everyone!

I live in Ralegh, NC, and first used Jacob for his dog training and behavior modification services to help me with my 3 large dogs who were not responding to commands, and also intruded on my wife and I with begging during meals and meal preparation. They also barked uncontrollably at passersby in front of my house, and made walking them on or off leashes a thing of the past because of their leash pulling or just running off when not on their leashes. Jacob quickly worked with us and my dogs on these issues and brought calm and order to my household with his gentle, dog friendly approach to dog training and behavior modification. Jacob also help my wife and I to learn how to be assertive with our dogs without losing control. There is now a calm order in our household. The dogs mind us completely. They no longer bark uncontrollably at the door nor do they beg at the table. And we are finally able to enjoy walking them without the awful pulling that prevented us from walking them in the past. Off leash, they are great too when we want to go hiking without leashes. After our experiences with Jacob and his dog training services, we used him again for pet sitting when we went out of town for our summer vacation. Jacob met us before we left to get detailed information on the care of our dogs, cats and pond fish. While we were away, Jacob cared for our pets and property wonderfully. When our home's AC broke down, Jacob met a contractor to get it repaired. He also emailed us daily with updates on how things were going. And when we returned home, we found our pets happy and relaxed and our home was in perfect order. I highly recommend Jacob and his company, Doggy Jake for their outstanding pet care and training services.
