Mike and Nick did our home inspection today. The inspection was scheduled for 10am and at just about 3:30pm we were done. To say they were thorough is an understatement. When we arrived at the house, they were already up on the roof investigating the shingles, gutters, chimney, etc....and worked their way around the whole exterior, the attic, and the interior, then into the unfinished basement, and the crawl space under the house. Mike spent a good amount of time discusses how we need to re-grade the landscaping to help keep water away from the home. We learned so much about the property we were buying and about home ownership in general. We feel like we understand much better what we are buying now. They were very patient and knowledgable and their expertise was invaluable. They even helped use prioritize which repairs and renovations we should take on first. We will certainly be recommending NextDay Inspect whenever we have the chance in the future and would definitely use them again. We honestly can't imagine a home inspection being any better than this one was. NetxDay Inspect is the gold standard.
Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.
Paul inspected a damaged rafter and assessed our attic joists for feasibility of adding an attic storage platform. Paul explained the repair method for the damaged rafter, he identified all of the load-bearing walls that could be used to support the new attic storage, and he provided a detailed plan of just how a platform could be installed. He spent time with me on-site giving verbal advice, and he sent a full written report afterward along with several detailed drawings.
I had my home inspection done by Randy this past week and would HIGHLY recommend!!!! To start with he was the ONLY one that answered the phone when I was initially calling and he has maintained his communication in a prompt manner. As far as the inspection itself he was on time, professional, easy to talk to and displayed A+ work ethics. I am a widow and know very little about "house stuff" and he explained EVERYTHING and has gone far beyond what was required by him for a home inspector. I am so happy I chose him! As a bonus he was less expensive than many of the "others",
Mike spends sufficient time to look thru top to bottom. He is very thorough and the report shows all of the findings with the picture. He even adds things that the home owner should know in addition to what the home inspection contains. He is excellent.
Dominic was very thorough and knowledgeable. The one thing I really liked about him was that he requested that I be there during the inspection so that he could educate me on what i should look out for and tips on the property maintenance. I really appreciate him doing that. overall, I was happy with the service provided.
Our home inspection with Patrick was better than I could've imagined. Patrick was punctual and started working right away. He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful (answered all of our questions and taught us a few things). On top of that, he was very personable and engaging. We learned a lot about every aspect of the house. He even brought a ladder, so that he could go up to the attic. A thorough report was emailed to me later that day. I wish all home inspections were like this!
Davon was great! He helped us get a great piece of mind in regards to our home purchase. He was at the location on-time and was very nice and professional. If you want a home inspection I'd definitely recommend SafeSales Inspection.
Mr Richard arrived when he said he was going to. I felt he was here for an adequate amount of time to complete the job. He explained what he was doing and kept my wife and I informed throughout the entire process. He was very detail oriented and very professional. I will hire Mr. Richard again in the future and give my absolute recommendation. Thanks Mike for a job well done!

Vertex Home Inspection is excellent. Vertex was referred by a friend of mine who had a great experience with them inspecting a new home he was having built. They surpassed my expectations. I scheduled the Ultimate Inspection Package with them because I was not taking any chances when buying this new home. They were easy to get in touch with and promptly responded to all inquires prior to the inspection. Come inspection day they showed up a few minutes early ready to work. When he told me the inspection would take 3 - 4 hours, I was skeptical but it took almost every minute of four hours. Alan was great at answering questions and addressing all my concerns during and after the inspection. His report was super detail oriented and he picked up more issues than I could have imagined. Not only was the report, very detailed, it was easy to read. Post inspection, Vertex was great at answering follow up questions and got me all follow up reports for the Mold and Radon tests when promised. In a nutshell, Vertex provides top notch customer service coupled with a superb work product. They are detailed oriented and extremely thorough. They are reasonably priced and worth every penny. I strongly recommend that anyone in need of a home inspection hire Vertex.

I take a lot of pride in my work, and I truly believe in the golden rule of treating others how I would want to be treated. Therefore, I am very courteous, attentive, and empathetic to your concerns and needs since I am a homeowner myself and have gone through this process. On my inspections, I don't adhere to the standards of practice, I SURPASS them! The only way to perform a true home inspection is to dig deeper than most others and really go the extra mile for my clients. I ALWAYS walk attics (which can be hard for some of the older, heavier inspectors), and I definitely get into crawl spaces when it is safe and where so many issues are usually found. Again, this can be difficult for a lot of inspectors who are likely to just disclaim that the space was not "readily accessible." Also, I am very knowledgeable, but if I don't have an answer, I do my best to find the answer for you. Once you are a client, you are always a client, and I am here for your concerns or questions about home maintenance and such for life.
