I purchased the six week training package with Vicky. On the initial meet and greet I could already see that she had a good rapport with my dog. After the initial meeting we set up a regular date/time and Vicky was always vigilant on sending a reminder text the day before to confirm our appointment and she always arrive on time every time. Vicky does an excellent job in guiding you to train your animal, she provides both positive feedback on the things that you and your animal are doing right and what needs to be corrected. She was able to successfully correct the main issue that I had with my dog which was pulling on the leash.
I recently had my dog participate in the basic obedience class. Bijou is a rhodesian ridgeback and I adopted her 3 months ago and she was 1 year old. I quickly learned that Bijou was extremely smart but very stubborn. She would only listen to my commands if I had a treat and would basically pull my arm off on walks. Bijou was also house trained but because of her stubbornness she would have "accidents" in the house every single day not matter how often we took her out to go to the bathroom. In addition, Bijou got attacked by 3 dogs at a dog park and it changed her personality from playful to scared and she would get nasty every time she saw another dog out of her fear of being attacked. After day 1 of training Bijou was completely different. She was listening to all of my commands and it was obvious her confidence was coming back. After the 2nd training session Bijou stopped having "accidents" in the house and started going to the bathroom on command outside when I asked her to. Using the instructors approach to training we've been able to teach Bijou endless tricks and quickly. It's been a pleasure being able to take her on runs in the city off leash (and she'll stay right next to me even with other dogs around) and eat at resturants outside and not have her freak out. The best part is she plays so nicely with dogs again, and we were able to take her back to "A Dogs Day Out" because she plays so well again and it's due to having her confidence back. My sister stayed with me the past weekend and brought her dog Huck, a golden doodle, and everything was so peaceful in the house and they played so nicely outside together. One of the biggest compliments is when we are eating outside in the city and people stop in Aw of Bijous obedience and we get asked by complete strangers where she was trained and wish their dog was as well behaved. I think Nick's training is so effective because he discovered a way to communicate to dogs that fills that gap and better connects dogs with their owners. My sister was so impressed by Bijous improvement in obedience when she visited with her dog that she is now driving all the way from North Carolina to get Nicks training. My sister has completed 3 other dog training courses with little results. The best part is Nick guarantees results, and it's because he has a 100% success rate. Because Bijou is so obedient Im excited to take her to more places and on more adventures like camping in the Boundary Waters, I know shell stay where I tell her to in the canoe and will stay close to me on the trails. Its so great being able to take my dog out with me vs. leaving her at home because I know shell behave. Thank you for all of your help Nick, you've truely improved Bijou and my quality of life!
Barking Trails has been excellent to work with so far. Their rates are outstanding, and their responsiveness is on point. I was really hesitant at first to have someone in my house while I am not there, but the dog walker they sent has put my mind at ease! She texts me before arriving, sends me photos of the dogs every day, and texts me again once she leaves the house. (Not to mention that my dogs love her!)
Stef is AMAZING! She has been caring for my three fur babies (2 dogs and a cat) for a year now and always does an incredible job. I have two large rescued pups and one is quite dog reactive. Stephanie is fantastic with her and ensures that everyone is well taken care of. Stephanie is incredibly skilled, patient, and loving. My dogs are always so excited to see her each time she comes for an overnight stay. Stephanie is easily accessible, friendly, and takes the very best care possible of my animals. She stays at my house to watch my pets a couple of times a month and always does and amazing job. She goes above and beyond to make sure all of their special needs are met. I don't know what we would do without her! She has truly been a life saver and has been more than willing to come stay on very short notice when necessary. Stephanie is simply the best and I highly recommend her services.
I have two dogs and one cat; all are older animals and one dog is blind. Leaving my pets in the care of others is the hardest decision I have had to make. No one cares for my pets better than me, except for Cupid Pets! Kim and Bruce are down-to-earth animal lovers who have bent over backwards for me and to make sure my pets are happy and safe! They come to your house to evaluate your pets, they listen carefully to your instruction and with their knowledge, can offer some suggestions if issues arise. They have the time (never rushed walks), they have the training (how to greet fearful dogs) and they have the love of animals (belly rubs for the dogs and pettings for the cat) that make them wonderful pet caregivers. They also try to be flexible in their scheduling and are reasonable in their pricing.
Kim worked with our 8 week old puppy. She taught us puppy basics and training. Kim was very professional. From our first telephone conversation, she took time to answer questions, provide insight and was friendly. Our sessions spanned an 8 week period. Kim never rushed a session and always stated she would stay as long as it took for our puppy to get a skill down. Kim was always prompt and professional. She also involved our children in training, which was nice. Kim pricing was very reasonable. At the end, she even had a graduation surprise for our puppy. Overall we had a very positive experience. I have referred Kim to others I know who have puppies/young dogs.
Jennifer has helped me with training dogs on several occasions. She is extremely knowledgable about dog behavior and is able to explain what to do in very simple and effective terms. On one occasion, she assisted me with a very difficult situation in which my dog had bitten another person. She was able to look at the problem from all perspectives, but held my dog's best interests at the forefront. She came up with a creative, but effective solution for all involved that led to a very happy outcome for everyone. I would not hesitate to hire her again in a second for any matter pertaining to dog training or care. She is a knowledgeable, caring, passionate person who loves dogs and people alike.
WOW! Brenna took 2 of my dogs and made such a huge difference in such a short time. A 3 year old and a 5 month old with such different personalities. We have been more than pleased with her help even after the week training. Our follow up appt was great. The dogs did well and we learned more on how we can improve our training techniques. Brenna is very knowledgeable and was very thorough in explaining her techniques. We are so happy we found Brenna!

Ricky and Orla first came to the house two weeks ago to meet my lovely pup Charlie. It was the initial "meet and greet" and couldn't have gone smoother! Ricky was very communicative about what to expect, and he met all of my expectations. After the initial visit - Ricky sent me an email which was inclusive of his evaluation of Charlie, his recollection of what I voiced was important to achieve through training, as well as his broad plan for Charlie. I was in the market for a dog trainer to help me with some restructuring for my puppy and Ricky so far has been a perfect fit. This past week was the second time Ricky came to the house to train Charlie, prior to the visit he sent me an email breakdown of how he was going to spend the session, which was very helpful! After the first true training session which was this past Tuesday I was very impressed with the repoire Ricky and Orla are developing with Charlie. He is a very smart dog - and is taking to their training tactics well. Their pricing is affordable in my price range and they have great customer support. My plan is to have Ricky train Charlie twice a week - and I am very hopeful for the results I desire! So far so good! I am hoping after each week to get feedback from Ricky as to the progress he feels he is making, in addition to more short term details as to his plan and how he will intensify the training. Basics are one thing - which Charlie has down pat - and I am interested to see how he specifically plans to continue the progression with Charlie. Overall - I couldn't be happier!

I have been using Prance Around Pet Services for the last six months since moving to Maryland. I have a five year old golden retriever and use them for daily potty breaks while my husband and I are at work. Scheduling and canceling appointments is simple and can be done through email or through their customer portal. The owner, Joelyne, is very friendly and responsive. She has been nothing but helpful in familiarizing me with the area by recommending the best veterinarians and groomers. I highly recommend Prance Around Pet Services to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and professional pet service!

Often times, our lives get so complicated that we lose track of important details like - having a backup dog sitter! Well, that was most certainly the case; however, Jenny came to our rescue. From the moment we left to go on vacation, we felt comfortable and never worried. Jenny took exceptional care of our Labradoodle. We received pictures every day and upon our return, she provided a journal! Jenny has a true and sincere love for animals. Her kindness and willingness to go that extra mile is far beyond any human comprehension. I cant wait for our training sessions to begin! Five Stars for Jenny it is most certainly well deserved!!
I will walk, train, or sit for your dog while you are at or away from home. Multiple-dog homes are welcome.
My husband and I have been so lucky to have found PuppyLovin and Julie! Our German Shepherd Ritter has received training, boarding, and daycare services with Julie. Most importantly he loves going to spend time with her. To see Ritter, who is always glued to my Husband and has suffered from separation anxiety in the past, excitedly run to her and forget my Husband exists when he is dropped off is wonderful beyond words. Not only do I know that my beloved fur baby is having lots of fun, but he is being treated like he is her own pet. I am thrilled that he is in a warm and personal environment. PuppyLovin doesn’t just provide the pet services we need at truly affordable rates, but Julie is always available to answer training questions and accommodate any last minute needs. PuppyLovin goes above and beyond to not just care for pets but to care for owners. In addition to boarding and daycare, we have received help training Ritter to walk nicely besides a stroller as we’ve recently welcomed a baby to the family. Ritter always receives exceptional care, and I truly consider PuppyLovin to be Ritter’s home away from home.
Susan is the dog walker, trainer, running companion, and home away from home for our three year old Carolina dog Sandy. The American Kennel Club says Carolina dogs are the most hierarchical breed which means until you establish yourself as their alpha, they can be willful, exhibit dominance (i.e., they want to be at your face level so they jump up), and have almost boundless energy. We were told that Sandy would be as energetic at 13 years as she was at 13 months. We said, What have we gotten ourselves into? But Susan has turned Sandy into a perfect lady. First she taught her to sit in the care\ and not bother the driver. Sandy now loves her rides. Susan took Sandy on long runs. Sandy came home so tuckered out she only wanted to lie on her pillow and sleep. When Susan arrives for Sandy’s run, Sandy gets so excited she wants to jump up and kiss Susan’s face (remember dominance). Susan uses that as a teaching moment so that Sandy minds her manners and has to wait and sit before she gets to go on her run. Susan has four dogs of her own and when she boards Sandy for the weekend the dogs have a wonderful time together. Susan's dogs teach Sandy their good manners. In short, Susan has taken one of the most difficult breeds to train and turned her into almost the perfect pet, because once Sandy learned her manners all she wants to do is kiss and hug you. We love Sandy and she is a full member of our family and we cannot thank Susan enough for helping us train her. In short if you are looking for help with your dog from simple regular exercise, to boarding, to basic and then complex training, we cannot recommend anyone more highly than Susan Rubin for that service.
Just as I was losing hope for my little yorkie, Finnegan, Niecy saved the day! We asked for her to help with leash reactivity with other dogs. You may think why is this such a big deal as Finnegan is a 5 pounder, but it was terrible walking him in our neighborhood since we would run into at least 5 dogs on our short walks. At first we started with a prong collar and then since he was only slightly better, went to a neck stimulating collar. I was nervous about both because of Finn's size , but she was great with teaching us proper techniques and making us feel comfortable using these tools. She took him for a week to train him more intensely since he is stubborn joker. He was a new dog. Laying down without barking while dogs walked past him at the dog park; I was amazed!! I was extremely impressed with how much changed in just one week. What I also liked about her program was the 100% money back guarantee since we had poor results with other trainers. She is also available between sessions. The pricing was reasonable especially with everything that is included. Most important of all is that we were happy with the results. I would highly recommend her! Thanks again Niecy!!!!
Elisa has been wonderful to work with! She has been training our dog Zoe for over 1 month now and we have seen great results! Zoe is a border collie mix and can be very stubborn at times, and as her parents we didn't do the best job with correcting her behaviors when they began. She is now 5, and despite her age Elisa has been able to teach us how to train her properly and address her problematic behaviors. Elisa has a great connection with animals and has done an amazing job with training Zoe and with training us as well. She provides in-home training sessions which are extremely helpful, and she is always flexible with our work schedules, even meeting us on weekends if needed. We really enjoy working with her and are happy with the results so far! We recommend her to anyone who needs training/dogwalking/petsitting services!
