Sean is a great guitar instructor. He explains theory well and offers practical guidance and exercises to improve technique. I highly recommend.
Keith is an incredible instructor! At each lesson, he always makes you feel that making you a better drummer is more important than anything else for him during that 1/2 hour. I have been taking lessons from Keith for about 2 years. I am a 55 year old woman who took lessons as a child and wanted to continue learning where I left off so many years ago. Keith is exceptional at identifying your weak spots and giving you very helpful and practical techniques to strengthen them. With Keith as my instructor, I have learned to read music and my skill as a drummer has improved enormously. He has so much knowledge about all aspects of drumming. He is incredibly passionate about drumming as a performer, and conveys that same passion when teaching his students. He is just as effective with very young students as he is with older students (like me)! I would recommend him as an instructor to anyone with the desire to learn all aspects of becoming a drummer.
I began lessons with Andrew Toy about a month ago. Very personable and talented musician. My main reason for taking up lessons was to increase my drum vocabulary. I do not read music but have been playing drums since I was a teenager. I am now 84 and enjoying it personally but have had a few "gigs" here and there. Not only am I learning new variations but Andrew is introducing me to reading music. He is a good teacher; very patient and personable. Thanks for recommending him. Murray Green email@example.com
Peter provided a fabulous band, The Rockits, for a huge birthday party! They played great dance party music and didn't charge a ridiculous amount. Terrific tunes and energy from everyone in the band. Really made the party fun! I will contact him for any entertainment needs I have in the future for sure.
Tommy is a professional drummer that has been around for quite a while, and has tons of experience. He loves drumming, and I love to watch and listen to him going at it. He also loves to share and teach his talent and skills to others. His teaching style is very relaxed, and customized to the student's wishes. He stresses on the importance of practicing rudiments, stick handling, and playing with a metronome, but also on having fun and playing along with your favorite songs. Tom's fee is very reasonable and affordable for private lessons. He'll come to your place and helps you set up your kit and/or teach. I prefer to go to his studio where he has two drum sets. With Tom on one set and me at the other makes it a lot more fun and better learning experience,
I worked with John for over four years, sharing the bandstand as performers, and also going into the classroom as music educators all around the United States. John is a versatile and talented percussionist! He is capable of playing many different styles and is well versed on all percussion instruments. John is a constant pro and I have always enjoyed creating music with him. As an educator John is thoughtful, caring, and informative. His style is one that is easy for students to relate to and inspires growth. He takes on not only the role of music educator, but also one as mentor. John's performing experience and passion for music blends with his love of encouraging and helping young musicians in such a way that his students have no choice but to show consistent progress as players, but also as people.

I know I do. Love you guys!
My son has been taking drum lessons with Jason for almost a year- he is a wonderful, patient teacher. He looks for unique ways to connect with his students and keep them engaged- for example, my 6yo son loves Michael Jackson, so that’s been incorporated in. He also loves songs by Muse, and Jason has creatively woven that into beat/timing lessons. I can not recommend Jason enough to anyone looking to learn drums.
I am a sound designer with a jazz vocal background. I have been teaching privately for 10 years. I encourage songwriting, self-accompaniment, and motivation to practice and create for one's self. My partner has been a drummer for as long as he can remember. He will be teaching the drum portion. We have a set in our music studio for the studio. It is highly recommended that the student has a set of their own or at least a drum practice pad. Our program is designed for growing children and high school students. We are also trained to help you with college audition processes.
I do drum set and snare drum lessons including sticking, stick control, technique, double bass, time, rhythm and meter. Thank you for your interest. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
I'm a young professional drummer with 17 years of experience in percussion. I got started in a school band and stayed sharp drumming in rock bands throughout high school, college, and even graduate school. These days, I tour the country as part of an indie/alternative rock duo. When I'm not on the road, I am available to give lessons for beginner- and intermediate-level drummers. My approach to drumming revolves around skill and enthusiasm for the craft. I owe much of my proficiency and success to a private instructor I had years back. I'm starting Proven Drum Lessons because I'm confident that I can make the same type of lasting positive impact on today's crop of students. For what it's worth, I'm also an economist with a Master of Science degree from a prominent research university. Hence, the intersection of my background and experience makes me uniquely qualified to offer perspectives on the financial side of life as a musician. This could also be of some use to an aspiring drummer. My pricing is reasonable and I'm a punctual, friendly, and reliable person. I've also developed patience, having taught economics to undergraduates at the university and community college levels. On a good day, I'd like to think I'm also a cool guy and someone to look up to. If you or someone you know is looking for lessons, reach out! I'd love to start a discussion. Kevin Founder, Proven Drum Lessons
Mike is an amazing teacher! He is incredibly knowledgable and is willing to work with you where you are. I was around 34 when I started taking drumming lessons with Mike and didn't know much about reading music. It was my first time holding drum sticks and within the first two lessons I had a good understanding of how to read notes and apply what I've learned practically. Within the first couple of months I was doing well and could pretty much understand how to dissect a song, play along and keep up with the pace. My questions were always answered and he worked with me so well whenever I was stuck. Beyond teaching music, Mike very encouraging has an impressive ability to work through intellectual obstacles, equipping his clients with the tools they need to keep progressing and moving forward. I WISH I had starting working with Mike when I was a young kid, but he was probably not born yet...and two continents away. I wholeheartedly recommend this teacher!!!!!!! If you have an opportunity to work with Mike, take it!
Adruma is probably the best percussionist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is a top of the line musician who I deeply respect for his professionalism, dedication and love for what he does and that means to put on his best performance every time! I highly recommend Adruma for any opportunities that come his way. Sharon Steele, President /Producer, Pasadena Theatre Company, Anne Arundel County, MD.
I know how to make learning simple and easy.
Although we ultimately decided my nearly 3-yr-old son is still too young for drum lessons, the lesson went well. Marty reviewed the names of the different drums in a drum set, let my son play them some, and then tried some rhythm exercises by clapping and counting. He is very patient and good with children.
Frankey has been the drummer for our church over the last seven years. He has matured into a very gifted drummer. He is reliable, conscientious, professional, and a great musician.
I am a professional, freelance musician working out of Rockville, MD, and I teach lessons to aspiring musicians of all skill levels. I have held permanent or extra/substitute positions with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, River City Brass Band, Canton Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, New World Symphony, and National Philharmonic.
I am over 30 years old and went to Miles with zero musical knowledge let alone any experience playing the drums. Miles reaches that perfect balance of being patient and pushing me to learn more. He has introduced information to me at a rate that is appropriate and takes the time to work through the musical concepts with me. At the same time he knows when to push forward with more challenging aspects of playing the drums to get the most out of our lessons. Miles is clearly very knowledgeable and talented and I recommend him highly if you are looking for drum lessons.
My son takes piano lessons from Jordan who is an amazing teacher and musician. Jordan provides musical pieces that suit my son's taste and this makes piano lessons and practice much more interesting for him. Besides piano lessons, my son participated in Damon's guitar camp which was an excellent experience for him. Musical talent pervades the studio. In addition to this, on the business side of the studio, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We truly appreciated them all!

Great teachers! Both of my kids learn from Steve Pae, one on guitar and the other on drums. They love having lessons with him. We can't wait until the next recital!!!
