Mr. Charest did an excellent job of editing and proofreading my document. It was a 50 plus pages of conference proceedings which needed a lot of work with formatting the table of contents, attachments and over 15 presentations. He also edited the summary of the proceedings by checking grammar, composition and style. I was very happy with his input. It definitely made the document look more professional. I would be requesting him in the future again for his help. thanks
Lauren is a best-in-class resume coach and editor. She reshaped my resume first as an IT Project Manager and then more broadly as a Technology Executive. She is a great listener, she's generous with her time, and she offers strategic advice--as well as detailed line edits--that helped frame my experience for maximum effect (both hard & soft skills). She brought real life experience to the process of rewriting my resume, so I felt like I was getting much more than a copyeditor or even someone who thought like an HR screener. I felt like I was getting someone who thinks like a high level executive -- i.e. the person who ultimately would be looking at my resume & deciding if it was worth his/her time to bring me in. My two experiences with Lauren really paid off, and I'm extremely grateful. Thanks, Lauren!!!
I recently earned my masters degree in International Media from American University while working as a public relations consultant and freelance writer and editor for clients in the non-profit and business sectors. I have extensive experience in writing and editing content for a variety of fields and audiences from laypeople to industry experts. My academic background ranges from journalism to economics to environmental issues, and I have proven myself to be a very quick study when assigned to write materials from white papers to internal newsletters on topics or industries not yet familiar to me. Between my training and natural inquisitiveness, research methodology is second nature to me and I am familiar with the basics statistical analysis. I am also comfortable spearheading projects on my own or working as part of a team. My focus, creativity, thoroughness and dependability make me an asset in any professional setting.

I chose Sabrina to copyedit my manuscript partly because her projected cost was near the low end of the four bids I considered, but mainly because her sample edit of several pages left the others in the dust. Her subsequent work on the full manuscript far exceeded my prior experiences with copy editors in both depth of attention and conformity to my own style. In addition, the basic jobs of grammar, spelling, usage and formatting according to the Chicago Manual were perfect, and in a manuscript featuring various levels of bulleted lists and quotations. At the end, Sabrina charged me less than her bid, explaining that computer problems had accounted for some of the time she spent. This would have been a ridiculously low charge for the work she did, so I paid her more. Now that the book is going to print, I appreciate even more the exceptional quality of Sabrina's work.

I've always been a person with a lot to say about a lot of things. However, sentence structure and grammar have never been my strong-suits. To this day it takes me forever to write papers, prepare reports, send emails and even "quick" memos. In college, I would send all of my mid-term and final papers to Danielle before submitting. She would proof them based on the the subject of the paper. If I didn't agree with a suggestion, I would let her know and we would discuss it. I never ended up with something that wasn't true to my original thought and that is most important to me. Thanks for being my lighthouse!

On several occasions I've asked Laura to provide proofreading/editorial services for manuscripts. On a massive tome covering the history of zombie cinema, Zombiemania (published in 2006), Laura did a thorough job, not only correcting everything from typographical errors to more complex grammatical issues, but also verifying the manuscript's correct usage of British rather than American English (the book was written by myself and a co-author, both American, but published by a UK press that wanted the book to adhere to that standard). She has since provided the same support on other writing projects, and I would gladly ask her to do so again when the opportunity arises.
