This Pro is very professional and showed up earlier than he originally told me. Which was great. He would have got a five, but a few things had my wife and I feeling that the service was not a 5 star. He does not move any furniture out of the way. So be ready and have your furniture out of the way ahead of time. Other offers I got the cleaners said they would move furniture to clean the entire room. Due to timing of this project and the fact that he was already at my house we let him do the work anyway. Otherwise I would have cancelled. Besides that the areas he cleaned looks great. Carpets are taking a lot longer to dry than what was estimated. Basement level is still very wet. Was expecting the carpet to be much dryer since he uses a truck vacuum. We Hired him and paid extra compared to other pros based on the truck. But don’t see the extra value in it. Beside that he did a great job. I also could have asked more questions before time.

I decided to select EBRR prop cleanup after reading some positive reviews from other restaurant operators who needed construction post cleaning. Also, since they are locally owned small business compared to a national francise. The admin Ed bilo when we set the initial appointment for estimate and inspection. The project lead was Luis one of the general managers. Our Indian restaurant had severe dust buildup on the hvac lines and wires which needed to be cleaned. The cleaning took a full day with four cleaners for our 8000 square foot place. There was no dilly dallying and everyone was working the entire time and Ed showed up later to make sure that all the tasked had been completed. I have already scheduled them to come sanitize our kitchen on a monthly basis.

Gennaro was a great Carpet cleaner. We had multiple issues with allowing him access to our place, having the power turned on, and access to running water because we had already moved from the premises and this was the last step in us receiving our security deposit. In spite of it all, Gennaro made several attempts to complete the job, and made several trips to the house to seek out alternative water and power sources. In the end, he did a great job and most importantly, the carpet was very clean at a very fair cost. If we lived in the area, and needed a carpet cleaner we would use him again.

Honest and easy to work with. Steam cleaned the carpets in our new house and performed a whole-house move-out cleaning of our old one. Both jobs were done professionally with friendly staff who cared about the quality of their work. Prices were very reasonable. We thought we would need a whole-house cleaning for the new house but the seller's realtor had the house cleaned before we got into it... American Commercial was understanding and still showed up to steam the carpets (something the prior cleaners didn't do). Would recommend wholeheartedly!

Full move out cleaning with carpet cleaning was needed. Jose was peompt and did an amazingly thorough job without any supervision. The house is now cleaner than when I moved in! Even the baseboards are clea. He used biodegradable products which impressed me and made me feel even better about my choice. I would recommend TAC to everyone.

Make the Smart Choice! Smart Choice cleaned our carpeting. We had some very old deep (soaked to the padding) pet stains. The tech happily went over them as many times as we wanted. I'm serious...he did it happily. They also spent extra time on the stairs. We thought that we would have to replace that carpeting, but Smart Choice made the carpeting look like new. They were professional and kind. The price that was quoted (very reasonable) was the price that we paid. And the appointment was the same week! The tech was careful around furniture and walls. I would definitely use Smart Choice again for carpet cleaning, would trust them with grout cleaning and upholstery cleaning in the future...turns out that we made the Smart Choice!

Did excellent work, and was on time and extremely professional. He cleaned our couch, and it went from being disgusting to looking like new. If you need anything carpets, upholstery, etc. cleaned, hire Kenny, you will be very happy with what you get. He was also more than half the price of many big name cleaners.

The owner of the company, who did the job, was exceptionally professional, courteous, and prompt. He measured the tiled/grouted area that was to be cleaned precisely and ACCURATELY; he explained his cleaning method simply and thoroughly. His rates per square foot were, by far, the LOWEST and the BEST of all the twenty or so quotes that I got from all the companies that I contacted. I highly recommend using this company for the high quality workmanship and professionalism and consumer friendly pricing. I will definitely use him again for any future tile/grout cleaning needs.

A couple months back my husband purchased a sofa from Craigslist unfortunately it had a ton of stains but it was a really nice high end sofa. HealthyGreen-Cleaners were able to schedule me a same day appointment. They were true professionals. They wore booties into my home and put down a lot of mats to make sure they didn't ruin my rugs or floors then they set to work. The couch looks perfect and the dining room chairs we added look like new chairs. I also loved that they were polite and easy to talk to. I asked them if they could go over the stain on the dining room chair one more time and they were more than agreeable. They also seemed exceptionally knowledgeable and explained as they were going along what mode of care made the most sense for my furniture not just for the fabric but for the overall construction as well. They took into account things like the construction underneath including the material of the tufted buttons. (It never occurred to me that you have to be careful cleaning with water so they buttons don't rust but now I know it, it makes perfect sense.) Best of all their initial quote was affordable and they ended up charging me even less than what they quoted. They also didn't charge me any extra fees for being in a 3rd floor walk up like other upholstery cleaning places had done in the past, which I appreciated. Overall, I couldn't recommend these guys more highly. They truly treated my furniture with care and were personal and professional. Lucia cattani

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How can I get my grout clean?

Dirt, mildew and grime can make your grout lines look downright tragic. If you have the ability, DIY tile and grout cleaning is definitely doable. Your main obstacles are time, project size, availability of the right materials and effort. Your first step in tile and grout cleaning is making sure the surface area is cleaned of basic dirt and buildup and wiped down. Be sure not to use a bleach-based cleaning agent, which could react dangerously with the vinegar used in later steps.

Depending on the delicacy of your tile and grout, it may be wise to start with water and friction before proceeding to a cleaning solution. In the shower you can spray the area while brushing gently, or use a spray bottle filled with warm water on countertops or floors. If water won’t do the trick, try a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, and repeat the gentle brushing motion. This combination should begin to lift dirt and grime from the grout. For additional tile and grout cleaning power, baking soda applied directly to grout lines and sprayed with your water vinegar solution can help suds off sticky grime. If your DIY cleaning solutions aren’t doing the trick, store-bought sprays and pastes may have more cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and enjoy your sparkling clean grout.

Tile and grout cleaning supplies include:

  • Old standard or electric toothbrush
  • Stiff bristle brush
  • Spray bottle
  • White vinegar
  • Commercial grout cleaner

How much does it cost to clean tile and grout?

The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Pros may charge a flat fee or by the square foot. Rates can vary depending on the type of tile and grout you have (more delicate tiles may mean specialized products or careful handwashing), how dirty your tile and grout are, and what part of the country you are in (regional labor rates and costs to do business affect costs). For example, one floor cleaning company charges 75 cents per square foot for tile and grout cleaning for projects that permit cleaning by machine. Another company may charge $30-$50 per hour for hand-cleaning of tiles. Companies often charge a minimum fee for services to ensure their business expenses are met when they accept a job, no matter how small. In addition, a tile and flooring cleaning professional may charge added fees, such as $25 or more, to move heavy furniture or appliances.

How do professionals clean tile and grout?

If you need tile and grout cleaning and don’t have the time or mobility for scrubbing your entire house on your hands and knees, it’s time to turn to the pros. Tile and grout cleaning professionals have industrial-grade machines designed for the sole task of cleaning the porous materials of grout and tile. Typically, a cleaning pro will come out to assess the job and provide you with a quote. Often they charge per square foot (for example, 75 cents per square foot), with higher prices or an hourly rate for areas that will need hand cleaning. The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Once onsite, the pros thoroughly clean the area by wiping or sweeping down and then vacuuming up any dry dirt. Next a chemical tile cleaner is sprayed over the surface, causing dirt to loosen and adhere to the spray; the industry term for this is “suspension.” The pros then clean the floor with professional-strength machines, which often use a combination of steam, brushes and vacuum to loosen, agitate and lift entrenched dirt. Your floor is then rinsed, removing all the spray. Usually a small room can be cleaned in under an hour. Applying a sealant afterward is recommend and will also affect cost.
