I hired Chef Kev through Thumbtack because he replied promptly to my request and already had a suggested menu based off of my needs. The event was my 1 year wedding anniversary and I requested drop-off catering for a buffet style dinner. The only change that I'd make is the time. Chef Kev was delayed due to traffic but looking back, if he was able to arrive just 15-20 minutes sooner I may have been less distracted and frantic! LOL! Everything else was absolutely awesome. The price was great, the flavor and creativity were amazing... all of my guests enjoyed the food! If I ever decide to hold another large event, Chef Kev will be the first caterer I call!

By some divine intervention, my husband and I stumbled upon Denean's Party By Design at a time when we were having a number of problems with our venue. Denean and her team were truly God-sends! Denean is thorough, detail-oriented, understanding, and so kind. She was so pleasant to deal with throughout the process. My husband and I had an inter-faith (Jewish and Catholic wedding) - Denean took the time to learn all the traditions and customs to make sure everyone's customs were honored. Denean also went above and beyond to ensure that our venue accommodated an entirely gluten free wedding. Any request that I made - no matter how obscure or small - Denean exceeded. On the day of the wedding, Denean and her team kept everyone on track, calm, and organized. Denean set up the venue beautifully, taking care of every last detail down to the placecards and photo arrangements. Additionally, she made sure we had zero issues with the food. The day ran so smoothly. My husband and I had to do nothing but enjoy the day. Hiring Denean and her team was the best decision we made, period!

Fairy Godmother Events is a godsend! Kadzo is highly professional and worked within my budget to plan the decorations and lighting for my "rustic-chic" barn wedding next April. Thanks to Kadzo's dedication, she was able to custom-build a decoration package that incorporated some of my own DIY elements, fit my tight budget, and offered day of wedding coordination and decorating services. Other event planning services just flat out told me that it was impossible to fit the budget that I had set aside, but FGE did what nobody else could. Mrs. Robinson came to our home and explained 'exactly' what "Brides to-be'- does', she was also concerned with what our expectation's were for our wedding. We were so impressed with her kindness, her elegance, her organization skills and her ability to take the stress of planning off of my plate! She saved me so much stress!!! My husband and I hired Mary as our Day of Coordinator for our wedding this past July. Mary absolutely loves this type of work and stayed in constant communication with us about personal items that she owns that she could bring and use at the wedding free of charge. She even made a trip out to our home to meet us in person! On the day of, she did a wonderful job helping my family and friends with the decorations, as it was a very DIY wedding. Mary is so sweet and loving, as well as great at what she does. We would highly recommend her again :)

Angie did a great job assisting me with planning my wedding and an exceptional job coordinating the event, on the day of. She provided lots of inputs toward the planning, coordinated my wedding rehearsal, introduced me to some very talented and reasonably priced vendors (seamstress and florist) who both did an excellent job with my wedding dress alterations and my wedding flowers. Angie also did all my wedding event decorations which looked so spectacular; my guests are still giving me compliments about them till this day. Angie was heaven sent... and I had a blast working with her. Thank you, Angie :)

Vanessa was a wonderful wedding coordinator. She was extremely helpful, responsive to all of our needs and requests, and made great suggestions as well. She also took it upon herself to coordinate some of the decorations for the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception when I was busy during the timeline of the day, and I couldn't thank her more for that!     We hired Event Envy to provide drapes for our reception and could not be happier with the service they provided! First of all, don't be put off by the fact that they specialize in South Asian weddings, they did a wonderful job at our Chinese restaurant venue. We hired them to provide simple white drapes and they made things look amazing! Really elevated the venue! Event Envy even put in extra effort into visiting the venue a couple days prior to our wedding to ensure they had everything ready to go day of. On our wedding day, they arrived very early and worked well with the venue managers which took a load of stress off of us. They were very attentive to every detail as they steamed out any wrinkles and ensured the drapes flowed perfectly. Email communication was quick, friendly, and clear!     Tiffany did an excellent job in helping with our event. We were having a dinner with immediate family to celebrate our wedding, and Tiffany set the table for the dinner, set up the cocktail hour, and picked up and served the food and drinks for dinner. One particularly tricky part of our dinner was that, despite it being a small group (11 people total), there were many different dietary restrictions (and difficult directions for all those different restrictions!), but Tiffany got everything exactly right and did a fantastic job making sure it all went smoothly. She was also incredibly quick to respond over email and extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend Tiffany and Party Helpers for any event!

    We can not express into words the phenomenon job that Extravagant Affairs did for our wedding on 11/05/2016. From the time that we chose them to handle our catering needs to the very end of our special day, their team handled every detail with the highest level of class and commitment. Our guests are still talking about the excellent food selection. If you are looking for elegance, price affordability, and professionalism, I would definitely recommend them

    Baby shower went so well. First time I hired the help of an event planner. All my guest even the staff of the venue was amazed by the decorations just the way I wanted it to be. April was always on time for our meetings and responded to my calls as quickly as possible. April was very organized and very detailed on the project. I would recommend April to my friends.     I hired this vendor to help me with my wedding decorations and coordination and they did an amazing job. I received tons of complements throughout the night. The owner, was extremely cordial, organized and very responsive (and trust me I had a lot of questions throughout the process). The price was very affordable. I would definitely recommend.

    BMore Fabulous was such a great find for our wedding, we will be looking to work with them again soon for our family reunion! I needed a wedding planner due to my busy schedule. I wanted someone to be able to accomplish anything I needed from vendor searches to scheduling. I quickly found out that I needed an all-inclusive package, however, all the polished major companies I found were charging a ridiculous amount of money and not providing everything I wanted to be accomplished. To save money and also try to support local businesses or start-ups, students, amateurs etc, I started to look for wedding planners on craigslist, thumbtack, local ads etc. I found BMore Fabulous and was quickly convinced that this was who I wanted to work with. The price was right, the details were many, and the contract was flexible. I did not realize until later, but we really did win big by working with this company. BMore Fabulous was more than all inclusive. Erin, the boss, accomplished all the expected all-inclusive activities such as finding vendors, scheduling meetings, and planning the day of events, but she did WAYY more than that. She was also our decorator for the venue, with her own linen and decor, she provided uplighting for beatuiful effects with her own equipment, and she was our florist for all the bouquets and decor. She also provided the staff and coordination for our bar. If you truly want all inclusive in one place, Erin, from BMore Fabulous is the WOMAN. Also, regardless of what she could provide, Erin, was very flexible. This, I find, might have been the most important benefit we got from working with them. I imagine other polished and bougie companies would be very strict and inflexible when it came to the contract, payment options, changes to your ideas and plans. With Erin, we were able to change our contract twice. Our payment options were flexible, and there were no hiccups with policies. If we had a vision, there was no headache with changing things. My husband and I are very particular and he had his doubts if all of our details would turn out right at the wedding. He actually had his doubts about BMore Fabulous, because all of our meetings were not conducted at an office, and details were written on lined paper, or an old laptop etc. In all reality, that was judgmental. Our wedding turned out absolutely beautiful! Despite that there were so many mistakes from our officiant and DJ, the crowd did not notice, and the only reason it ran as smooth as it did was because of BMore Fabulous! My husband in fact, later said how he was impressed by Erin and her work and how she did an exceptional job. Definitely work with BMore Fabulous!

    Words can not express how grateful I am to have Bianca as the day-of-coordinator for my wedding! She was so patient and kind during this entire stressful process. As a DIY bride with no previous experience with floral arrangements, she was able to help me find the right place to purchase flowers at a 75% less costs than florists were charging me for arrangements.     When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

    • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
    • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
    • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer.     Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

    Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

    • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
    • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
