I am a dedicated lifelong learner and driven worker. I am a veterinarian and piano teacher who also loves to house and pet sit when needed. I take pride in maintaining a good teaching pace while still offering flexible weekly lessons depending on my students' schedules. I love when a student grasps a concept we have been working on for weeks and blossoms into a better musician and learner. Pet care: I am a licensed veterinarian in Kansas and live in KCK. I am available for pet sitting and house sitting in the KC area. I am most comfortable working with dogs and cats, but would be happy to work with other species as well! Laura is by far the most qualified and competent pet sitter I have ever worked with. I have two high energy (let’s just say it, high maintenance) dogs and leaving them for any period of time is tough on all of us. When I got home, I could tell by my dogs demeanor that they had been loved and cared for thoroughly while I was gone. I plan to work with Laura again - I have an immense amount of trust in her.

We won’t be using again. I am flexible about a coming and going schedule, but she blatantly took advantage. She came to meet us and the dogs a few days before we left. Went over things, she said it all sounded pretty straightforward. I told her our boys are good to be kenneled 4-5 hours at a time. They don’t do well kenneled at night. We asked her to leave bedroom doors shut, because we have one that likes socks, towels, blankets etc. We have cameras outside and our garage tracks through an app. I had to text her to see if she was heading back to the house one of the days, because she’d be gone over 6 hours. Plus 2 hours that morning prior to coming let them out. We walked into a mess. Towels chewed up, bed sheets ruined (had to buy new ones), blankets eaten, plants dug through, bedroom doors left open, crumbs and food all over the kitchen, oven, floors - a sink of dirty dishes, bathroom counters smeared in toothpaste, comforters from one room thrown in other rooms, etc… I really thought it was too good to be true that she was Vet and doing dog sitting for people and my gut was right. She told me my communication should have been better, I should have told her she needed to wash her own dishes. What?!?! Are you a child?? I’m sorry, but you’re a professional and just picking up after yourself is called respect. We let her eat everything in our house, drink whatever she wanted, gave her access to everything and yet just ensuring our dogs weren’t chewing on things and were safe and picking up after yourself was too much to ask. Never again.
