Larry is the third guitar teacher I've ever had. The first two were in the classical style, and I was seeking a teacher to teach me electric/metal techniques and somebody who would be willing to teach me theory in the guitar to help me be able to start composing. Larry has gone above and beyond the call of duty, and I have never had more fun or learned more from an instrument teacher, I highly recommend him !!!!!
Definitely the best guitar teacher I've had! Jay has a very detailed set of lesson plans in 10 books that walk you through learning guitar from the basics to advanced in a systematic way. Highly recommended!
I am an adult student, having had several previous years of classical lessons with other teachers. I have just begun lessons with Tatiana and have found her very easy to work with. I was immediately impressed by her extensive knowledge of composers, types of music, theory, and analysis of pieces of music. From my very first lesson I learned several things and know that continued lessons with her will only help me improve in technique and understanding music better. I am looking forward to learning more from her. And, of course, she plays most beautifully! I heartily recommend her.
Dr. Bill Hall is one of the finest teachers I have ever had! I was a bit nervous about reaching out to someone new over thumbtack, but Dr. Hall immediately made me feel comfortable and confident in asking the right questions. He gives great feedback, and helps to elevate your musicality and voice to a new level.
Kevin and Angela Traynor are remarkable, talented individuals. Kevin was able to take our son from not wanting to continue piano to a young man who is so grateful he continued. Kevin has such a mild manner and the patience needed to help kids and teens stay on task. He still holds our son's interest as a high-school-age student. He has taught Pat to play some of the rock songs on piano that he loves and listens to. This, combined with the classical methods used by the Traynors, has just made a world of difference for Pat. Not long after Kevin began teaching my son, our back door neighbor's daughter, who is a year older than Pat (they are 16 and 17, respectively) was so impressed that he was teaching in her home not too long after. These kids were in early middle school at the time they were introduced to the Traynors, and both still take lessons and play beautifully. Angela Traynor is also extremely talented, and as kind and generous as Kevin. They are so easy to work and interact with. I feel they are our good friends as well as super piano teachers. We recommend Traynor Piano to every one, including dear friends, that has an interest.
Quick response, very easy to work with and great teacher
Maya is a remarkable talent. Her prowess at the piano is breathtaking. She has an unsurpassed knowledge of the piano and its history. These attributes make her a wonderful teacher. What makes her a great teacher is her personality. She cares for her students and she knows how to bring out their best. She's been there! Maya is disciplined and holds her students accountable in a positive way. She is very patient and understanding of the struggles students encounter. She makes you want to be a better student. I thank my lucky stars that I have Maya as a teacher. Anyone wanting to learn the piano could not find a better teacher. Maya's student: Rick Sturgeon
She is awesome!!! Love her. Have great feeling about my girls piano experience
A very dedicated music teacher and always listens to the children and try to help them
He is an accomplished performer (not true for all piano teachers), and through detailed instruction, has helped me to advance my level of playing. Also, he seemed to genuinely enjoy teaching.
Mark Ballard is very well organized. The studio is always clean, and the music teacher is incredible. My son is so happy and learning a lot. Thank you KC Music Academy!
Great company and an even better instructor. Leigh Ann has done a great job teaching me the French language. She is very adaptable to my learning style, and she goes above and beyond to make sure I’m getting the most out of her lessons. I highly recommend going to the Language and Music House. It will improve your language skills and make you enthusiastic for all the possibilities of world travel.
Good guy with a lot of experience and technical knowledge. Very professional and accommodating to your musical and creative needs. If you have a blueprint Jeff has the tools.
Jan is such a great teacher. I am a 63 year old woman and have never taken lessons before. Within just a few weeks, I was playing along with songs! Jan is very professional, and always answers my questions. He is great at helping students accomplish their goals.
Kenny's dope. Wealth of knowledge and super cool to be around. He is exactly the kind of teacher i was hoping to find.
My son is on the spectrum, and it's hard to find tutors who are creative enough to make lessons that are comprehensive enough for him, and he can relate to. I love that he enjoys his music lessons and doesn't see them as a "chore", he looks forward to them. That speaks volumes!
What a great teacher! He is punctual and organised. Makes learning fun!
Kevin is an amazing percussionist as performer and teacher. He was my first percussion teacher, and he changed my life.
My grandson loves Paul as his teacher. He looks forward to his lesson each week. Paul seems to easily relate to children
A Major is professional very flexible and accommodating, good value.
My daughter started learning from Alla from the beginning about 2 years ago at the age of 7. Alla comes from a traditional Russian background and knows her stuff. If you are looking for Suzuki method, she is not the teacher for you. She teaches according to how she was taught and believes is correct and while I may not have understood her methods, I have learned to trust them and trust her judgment. For example, she didn't let my daughter touch the bow for months, and even when she did, she didn't allow her to do so unsupervised by her. She focused on the left hand and didn't use tape to learn where the notes are. I felt like some things were hammered for a while and then my daughter would take off on them. When we meet up with an older cousin and she sees where my daughter is after 2 years, she says, "Wow. I didn't do that for a long time." One thing about Alla if you are considering her as a teacher is that she is sometimes gone because she performs around the world. That means there are gaps in teaching throughout the year...usually in the summer. I don't mind this as it gives us a break and also because she stays fresh as a violinist. She is also readily available on Skype to give lessons when she is a away and while this sounds strange to us uninformed folks, she is remarkably able to correct and teach even online. While Alla expects excellence, she is very patient and understands that kids are kids. She has stuck through and motivated my daughter when it got tough. She's very warm and caring...but she does expect you to do things the way she taught you! Alla is very generous and giving. She even came with us to Dan Lawrence Strings in Lee's Summit to pick out an amazing violin that I know we wouldn't have gotten without her there. One thing I would like more of are recitals. We've had 2 over the past 2 years. However, for now, I'm glad for the foundation my daughter is getting and trust there will be more opportunities to perform in the future. Kansas City is lucky to have Alla here as a violin teacher and recognized performer and I hope you will hire her so that she'll have reason to stick around!
