Brendan is a real professional in every sense of the word when it come to instructing his students in playing guitar. He is very conscious of each students learning curve and the speed at which they are absorbing they information taught. He is as concerned with their ability to understand the concepts as he is with the speed at which they learn. This had helped me immensely as I continue to make progress. He's great at listening to his students, understanding where they're having difficulties, and working with them to get them past their sticking point. I'm very pleased with Brendan and the progress I've made under his guidance. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn, or improve upon current, guitar skills!!!

Brendan was my teacher for approximately 3 years. If you're looking for a teacher who will push you, give you constructive feedback, and beef up your bag of guitar tricks, this is your guy. Brendan is an accomplished flamenco guitarist, but he plays in all styles. It's easy to bring in a piece or start on a concept with Brendan because he is likely already or will quickly become familiar with whatever you want to learn. If you're simply looking to advance as a guitar player Brendan will craft a plan for you that'll have you sounding great with a little time and work. He expects a lot of his students, so expect to bring your A game to every lesson! If you want a well respected and knowledgable teacher who will push you to become the best musician you can be, I would highly recommend Brendan Bondurant.

Brendan is a very talented guitar instructor that I've been a student of for the past 4 1/2 years. I feel very fortunate to be working with him as he is very knowledgeable about a wide range of musical genres. He's very flexible in scheduling. So, if you have something going on and need to reschedule he can make it happen. He's very reliable and is always prepared for his lessons. Brendan is also dependable and very trustworthy. He teaches teaches the basics of guitar in a way that gives the student a solid foundation on which they will be able to further their skills. Brendan is also very open as to what the student wishes to learn. He's an all around great teacher to work with.

I have taken guitar lessons with Brendan for 2.5 years and, of several teachers I have worked with, he is easily the best. He also teaches many of my students. I work full time and have a busy schedule and this is not a half hour I would ever give up. Brendan's mastery and love of music, mixed with a talent to explain and teach, make him excellent at what he does!

Brendan has been giving me guitar lessons since I was very young, and he was a phenomenal guitarist and teacher. He has seen me grow from a frustrated fourth grader into a competent player, and he has become an even better teacher and player as well.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I currently take lessons from flamenco guitarist Enrique Vargas Molina of Madrid, Spain. I also am constantly learning new music, and have recently began working on music with a Turkish singer.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I love playing music, and early on, one of my teachers told me that it is very important to pass on what you know. I enjoy watching students progress, and I like to help people who want to build a career in music, because it is possible.
