FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Teaching is by far the best type of continuing education. Its my favorite part about it. There is always something more to learn in music. Every good teacher also still has teachers they go to periodically. I have two from college and one from private lessons.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching in college just to make extra money, but after a few other jobs I always came back to it. I love watching students progress into great musicians. Its always different and no student is exactly the same. Ive always enjoyed teaching not only guitar but music in general.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking to start lessons it is important to find the right teacher. Be cautious of ones saying they are a master of many styles and/or offer low rates. Mostly you get what you pay for, so do a little research about teachers in the area before getting in lessons.
