In March of 2016 I was a visitor to the Independence Missouri area for an athletic event. As I explored the area for things to do, it was suggested that I visit the African American Jazz Museum on the historic streets of 18th and Vine.
Upon my arrival I was meant by a very professional and eager presenter by the name of Miss Karen Griffin. She gave me a tour of the facility and was very responsive to my many questions about jazz and the African American Experience.
Miss Griffin was extremely knowledgeable, educated and spoke with intellect and passion about the history of Jazz in America and the Arts.
Her voice reflected the subject matter of perfectly she kept my attention along with others and presented the subject matter in a professional and understanding manner.
After listening to her presentation and watching the video she so graciously provided I left the museum thinking that she must have authored several books have a public speaking tour or at least be in demand as a presenter.
Miss Griffin mastered the English language held onto the attention of those listening to her presentation and patiently responded to the concerns and questions of her audience.
Thank you Miss Griffin for creating in me the thrust for more knowledge about history. You are an excellent educator.
