Simon Barz is a percussionist based in Nashville, TN. He began studying percussion at the age of 12. From a young age, he had a knack for rhythm. For four years, he played snare drum in the Hillsboro Marching Band Drumline. He was a member of Trollwood Performing Arts School's orchestra in the summer of 2010 and has been a two-time member of Sankofa Performing Ensemble at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music.
