Introduction: I listen to the couple. This is THEIR ceremony and it should be done to their specifications. I believe there is no right or wrong way to do a wedding. It's such a special day for these two people that I feel I *must* take the time to speak with them, get their input, wishes, desires, and more so I can bring the right touch, tone, and feeling to this new adventure the couple is about to embark on. The joy, the smiles, the laughter, the tears, the emotion. I get choked up every time I get to pronounce a couple joined in matrimony. There's nothing better.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

It started with me doing the service for two friends from high school and slowly by word of mouth it became a ceremony here, a ceremony there. I take great pride in being welcomed into such a truly joyous occasion and take my part in the proceedings very seriously. Or not so seriously, if that's what you'd like.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I was recently hired by my high school history teacher to perform his wedding. He has asked for a combination of the Hindu seven steps wedding with Catholic vows. Let's just say that one is a doozy to figure out but I'm proud to say he's liking what he sees so far.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Go with your gut. Talk to lots of providers and make sure that they always have your best interests in mind and aren't going to nickel and dime you on price. I like to keep my price low because it will cover cost of transportation and my time. I truly enjoy doing this and love how each wedding is unique.
