Introduction: Loreal Gavin is a classically trained chef with an associate's degree in culinary arts. She is proudly a Louisiana native. Her soul food roots are tastefully represented in her signature flavors. Loreal believes that love is the most important ingredient in any dish. Well versed in all things culinary, she's spent years as both a pastry chef and a butcher. Her unforgettable cooking style and bubbly personality landed her on "The Next Food Network Star" in 2014 where she was forever branded the "butcher babe." Gavin then won "Cutthroat Kitchen" and used her success to start her own mobile private chef business. Gavin travels all over the United States to accommodate her clients' needs. Besides cooking, she also enjoys playing guitar, getting tattooed, making art and filming her culinary adventures. I enjoy the fact that I actually get to do what I love for a living. It doesn't feel like work.

First, full disclosure, I'm getting a homeaid apple dumpling for writing this review! :) Seriously though, I've known Loreal for over 2 years now. She works at Kincaid's butcher shop near my house which I frequent and we quickly became fast friends. I pick out my meat and she tells me how to cook it, how great is that! My first experience hiring her as a private chef was giving a cooking lesson to my 6 year old daughter for a birthday gift. Loreal taught my daughter and her friend how to make homeade pizza. She was completely engaging and even convinced the girls to try different vegetables. They had a blast! Shortly thereafter I hired her to create a meal for my new years eve party. She was overly prepared, sending me the menu and her plans for set-up. I was able to relax and spend time with friends since I didn't have to worry about cooking or clean-up! She did all the shopping as well! The food was amazing and her price is reasonable and she will be as involved as you want with your guests. I would absolutely recommend Loreal, but sorry everyone I have a standing reservation for New years eve!

I went to culinary school with The Butcher Babe and have had the privilege of being her friend. I know first hand what this girl is capable of. She puts her heart and soul into her cooking. She is truly talented. Her southern roots not only lend a hand in her cooking skills, but her customer service too. She genuinely cares for everyone she interacts with. Because of this, I know your experience with this company will be superb. She doesn't half-ass when it comes to food or making sure her customers are happy. You will be pleased with this service. I know because I know Loreal. And there's nothing that she loves more than making an amazing and creative dish and sharing it with others.

Loreal came to my friend's house to cook for five couples. Not only does she have some serious cooking talent, she is extremely entertaining and is sure to put a smile on everyone's face. She brought all of the food, cooked it, served it and did the dishes. Her love of cooking is very obvious in the kitchen. She turned items, such as oysters, that I usually am not a fun of into something that I now love! As soon as I tasted the food, I knew that I had to hire her to come to my house to cook a meal to share with some of my other friends. She is very talented, fun, flexible and provides a great service at a fair price. I am sold! Michelle T.

Loreal did an outstanding job making a wonderful dinner for us. She prepared several dishes that were all so incredible in depth of flavor. She kept us entertained with her wit and charm! Our experience was fantastic and we can't wait to do it again.

I worked as a server while Loreal was a line chef at Bourbons Bistro in Louisville, KY. Within a very short amount of time, she was making the desserts for the restaurant and was always coming up with innovative and new recipes. I remember her precision, positive energy, passion, and creativity being at the forefront of everything she did. I always looked forward to working with her as well as tasting and seeing the dishes she would put out. It's amazing watch her on this journey!
