FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by learning about your event, including the date, location, guest count, budget, menu preferences, dietary restrictions, and type of service you’re looking for. From there, I create a customized menu and quote. Once the menu and pricing are approved and the required deposit is received, your date is secured. I then handle the shopping, preparation, cooking, and agreed-upon service so you can focus on enjoying your event.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients, including couples looking for intimate private dinners, families celebrating special occasions, wedding couples, wedding planners, corporate and community organizations, artists and event organizers, and clients hosting larger celebrations. I’ve provided everything from small private dining experiences and meal drop-offs to weddings and catered events for 75+ guests.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of the projects I’m most proud of was a corporate catering event that came to me at a very unexpected moment. Earlier that same day, I had made the difficult decision to quit my job. Not long afterward, I received a call asking if I could cater a corporate event. What started as an uncertain day quickly turned into an opportunity to trust myself and the business I was building. I handled the planning, shopping, preparation, cooking, and execution of the event, and seeing everything come together was incredibly rewarding. The experience reminded me why I started CocoCayenne and gave me confidence that taking a chance on myself was the right decision. It remains one of my favorite projects because of what that day represented for me personally and professionally.
