Introduction: I teach power yoga in New Orleans and Crescent City to build a healthier, stronger and more flexible you.
Power yoga builds strength and flexibility through heat-generating postures. This means that you'll stretch, breathe, sweat, hold and rest.
We begin a typical class by flowing through simple postures to warm up your body (like jogging before you run), then hold poses longer to access your inner physical and mental strength.
I offer both public classes and private classes throughout the New Orleans metro area.
The following are few things to know:
* Power yoga is accessible to everyone. All poses can be adjusted to fit your body.
* We practice in a moderately heated room. The temperature is between 85 and 90 degrees to warm your muscles and get you sweating.
* It's hands on. I adjust students to bring consciousness to specific aspects of the poses.
* Expect a physical and mental workout. Through purposeful breath and movement, you will discover physical challenge and mental release.
