We hired Antonio to help transform our 1811 Colonial that hadn't had any exterior renovations done in 50 years. As you can see from our "before" photos the house was in dire need of a change. We knew that going from a red color to a blue was going to require several coats of primer and stain otherwise the true blue color we were after wouldn't have been achieved. Antonio was extremely enthusiastic about this project from the beginning whereas some of the other people who quoted the job were pessimistic. Antonio and Eddie started by cleaning the sides of the house and removing the tons of bat manure that was inside our previous soffits in order to get the house ready to prime. Once everything was primed they got painting and were great at working around the schedules of our roofers and window installers. The project took 2.5 months only because we had so many renovations happening at the same time. They even made a lot of needed repairs to the outside of our house and went above and beyond take care that the entire project was done correctly to ensure the longevity of the transformation and to be cautious not to damage our historic home. We are extremely happy with the work Antonio did at our home. They were extremely friendly and easy-going and we are hiring them to come back and paint our new barn in a few weeks. The pictures speak for themselves. You should hire these guys without giving it another thought!
We had a skylight removed previously by our roofer and the roof was repaired. But of course the ceiling needed repair/filling as well. Mike Levy gave us a fair and timely estimated, explained the job thoroughly. Over the course of two days for dry time, he placed insulation, drywall boards, mud, primer, and ceiling paint to close up the gaping hole. I was most impressed with how careful he was to protect the rest of the room not involved in the project, and how well he cleaned up each day. He is friendly and courteous and I would recommend his work to anyone.
Amazing!!! I sent an email on Sunday night during one of the 90° weeks with a down HVAC unit and pretty low expectations. Received a response the same night and had Jose out to check out the problem Tuesday p.m. He returned 9AM with three-man crew and had problem resolved before noon. It wasn't free but it was a very fair price combined with very professional prompt quality work. I just spent two years on an addition dealing with more contractors, subcontractors, and tradesmen than I care to remember but this guy is the real deal and does what he says he is going to do when he says he's going to do it and that's getting pretty rare these days. I'm not big on writing comments but this guy deserves the five stars and you deserve to have this guy doing competent work in your home. Al W.
Mr. Thompson provided an accurate and reasonable quote for the requested work, which was to replace a bulkhead door and install some landscaping railroad ties. The work was done in a matter of days and the site was left clean and free of debris. I am very satisfied with Mr. Thompson's work and have recommended him to friends and family.
He was a little late arriving from what we agreed, but he did notify me of his delay before he was actually expected. He did pretty much what I asked, and he worked steady at completing it. He was very courteous, and in the end did a good job. I was repairing a drywall and I had wanted it to be patched with just one piece of drywall to minimize the seams and sanding I am expecting to do. He used 3 pieces, but in the end it looks like it's OK. So yes, I think Good to borderline Excellent is a fair assessment.
I had a complicated floor-tile job for a small powder room in Wellesley. Pascal came out to see the job and had someone on it immediately. It came out so beautiful I hired Pascal to finish the rest of the room and will have him quote a job in another part of the house. Pascal is professional and a pleasure to work with.
Great contractor. They did a complete roofing replacement on my house. Good price, Fast, clean, done on time. They showed professionalism and great quality of work. I really recommend Top Quality for anyone
I hired Tim to help put all the finishing touches on a house I am renovating. I have a deadline to get the home on the market, and Tim quoted me a decent price, within my budget and his work is excellent. The job consisted of installing a few interior doors, windows, and a few stair cases, a small deck and some railings. He also did a lot of drywall work and boxed in some electrical, gas and water lines for me. I am very happy with his attention to detail, and how he was able to figure out ways to get the job done right and bring everything together. He and Eric are very nice people and I will be certainly hiring them again for my next project.
Richard was the second contractor we worked with during our house remodeling project. The experience with the first one was absolutely awful. Working with Universal Home Renovations was a counterpoint to that. He is a professional and low key contractor. There's not a lot of drama working with Richard. Richard is very clear about what he will do, how much it'll cost t and how long it'll take him to do. There were no surprises with Richard and his team. He won't start on a change before approval, which is how it should be. I have recommended Universal Home Renovations to several friends and one is in the middle of a remodel with him. That project seems to be progressing as well as ours did.
Russ and his team was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to my inquiry (leveling my floors for a floating wood installation) and even adjusted his projects to fit my tight timeframe. He provided tips for other renovations we are doing throughout the house and even allowed up to borrow tools needed to do so. we have worked with several contractors over the last few weeks and Russ by far was the more professional.
Let's start off with what I expect. I hate salesmen that come off telling me this and that, I expect someone that's going to be honest give me a price and that's it. Silas did a few things that others that gave me quotes didn't. First off he was punctual, told me a time and he was knocking on the door when he said he'd be there. He showed up with a professional demeanor and was kind to my family and respectful. Now let's quickly talk about price his quote was over 2k less than 2 guys and 4k less than 3 other guys. I rather not name them but they popped up on my thumbtack search. I am not cheap by any means and have zero problems with someone making money but please don't try to retire on my dollar, luckily Silas was extremely fair and truly cares about his craft. Second he covered my main concern, I have been burned before by contractors that want huge money upfront and then disappear. He knew my concerns and only requested half payment when he dropped off the boiler. My boiler was more than that payment. This made me feel very comfortable because it assured me,as they say, he had skin in the game it wasn't only me taking a leap of faith. He purchased the boiler I requested at a price I was comfortable with and installed it promptly. I had him remove old furnace and had no problem with him keeping the scrap since it would be impossible for me and two guys to take that thing out. ( reference little boy nuclear bomb) if you want to see the size and probable weight of that thing. The job can honestly be described as a professional installation. I highly recommend him and would not have any problem using or referring him to any friends.
We hired DC construction to build out an unfinished attic space. From Frame to finish the work is top notch. They were professional, have a great attitude, and are very comfortable to work with. We were very pleased and have a great new space for our kids! We stayed on budget and on time with every detail. Thank you and we look forward to working with you again in the future.
Dermot and Royal Contracting addressed damage to our home from ice dams following the winter of 2015. Dermot was available throughout the project, closely supervised the work, and addressed issues as they arose in a timely, professional way. He and his crew were clean and efficient, and they delivered quality work on time. Dermot was also good at coordinating with electrical and insulation subcontractors during the job. Price was fair, work was good. I'd use Royal Contracting again.
I have rebuilt every room in my house and have used a number of contractors along the way. Charlie was head and shoulders above anyone else. He built a new deck and an 20x14 sunroom that everyone who visits the house absolutely loves. The quality of workmanship was over the top great and the cost was very very reasonable. He is also the most honest contractor I have ever worked with. Even my local building inspector was very complimentary of the quality and made those comments both times he reviewed the work. I can't give Charlie a high enough recommendation. He will exceed your expectations!
Working with L.J.V. Carpentry was a dream come true. Leo's a great communicator, puts everything in writing, has an excellent eye for detail. We had him do a complete redo of our kitchen and dining room - all built ins. He worked to install and/or coordinate the installation of all cabinets; appliances; floors; painting; tileing; plastering; all the details AND did the whole job within one month including all the town inspections. Looking forward to having him back to do other work in our home with complete confidence.
Joe completed a gorgeous custom kitchen for us in March of last year. Our previous kitchen was outdated, cramped and barely functional. A full bath and a peninsula took up most of the floor space in the kitchen, and a "window" overlooking the adjoining family room took up valuable wall space. Joe worked with us to design a functioning kitchen that fit our lifestyle with the limited space we had. After seeing our options on paper, we ended up reducing our bathroom to a half bath, filling in the window, and pushing a wall over a few inches to achieve our dream kitchen - in fact, its the picture for his website. I was very impressed with his skill and timeliness. Joe completely reshaped and renovated the bathroom, gutted the kitchen, ran all new electrical, installed new flooring, installed a new ceiling, built us a new wall, installed all the appliances and custom cabinets, installed a beautiful tile back-splash and did all the finishing touches (crown molding, painting, etc.) all within our predefined schedule. This was my first experience with a major renovation project, but I've heard horror stories from others of delays and hiccups along the way - we had none of that with Joe! Everything came together perfectly. He has a natural sense of knowing what will and will not work within a design and seemed to always be thinking one step ahead. It is clear that Joe's experience has given him an eye for quality without sacrificing value. Our custom cabinets were incredibly well priced and exquisitely handcrafted to our specifications - something a run-of-the-mill home improvement mega store would never have been able to do for us. He was also able to get us a fantastic price on the perfect piece of soapstone for our counters. He's got a good list of contacts up his sleeve and he knows how to use them! It's one year later and there isn't anything that has popped up that I would want to change. I could not be happier with the finished product that Joe provided us. I highly recommend his services.
He did an amazing and thorough job!!! He was both flexible and expedient in creating a beautiful space. I would recommend him to others... Also my contractor said he would recommend him for future jobs.
Very professional, worked hard, always concerned about noise and cleaning up after each day of insulating our attic with spray foam insulation. As a general contractor Martin was also able to remove 5 attic vents on a high roof (2 were large, motorized vents) and then patch and feather in new architectural shingles before insulating the underside in the attic, that was a big plus to have one person able to complete two very different jobs in terms of price and scheduling. We are hiring him again January 2015 to renovate our basement which will include construction of a high-end spa bathroom since he can do all the work that entails as well as being experienced in glass installation for the new shower. Martin brings a variety of necessary skills and experience to everything we've discussed with him so far, he's also a former structural engineer, making him perfect when hiring a contractor with his breadth of knowledge.
Joe performed a significant amount of work in our home including: remodeling a bathroom, laying tile (2 rooms), enclosing a garage, remodeling a den, building and installing an ornamental railing on a portico over our front door, and installing and painting 4 rooms/ceilings. His work was completed on time and on budget. He was neat and most importantly, he showed up when he said he would! I would highly recommend Joe to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional contractor. Richard G. , North Easton
Fran was so helpful and answered all of my questions. I have an older home that had terrible insulation. I have seen a tremendous reduction in my home heating bills consistently year after year since upgrading and adding spray foam to existing walls and attic space. My bills have gone sown 30 - 40%!! Very excited to spread this good news with others that are looking for a quality, professionally skilled company to do this type of work.
I hired Nobleport Contracting, Michael O'Rourke, to paint my kitchen, walls, trim & baseboard. The baseboard was especially important to me because I had just gone through the first year of training for my bernese mountain dog puppy, and unfortunately, the pup did some extensive damage on my baseboard with his beautifully white razor sharp teeth. In other words, it needed to be replaced, Michael did a really great job, he matched the paint & base board perfectly, from the walls to the trim, to the base board. Most importantly, he was clean and respectful of my space. There was never a time where I had to clean up after him, which may not sound all that important, but to me it truly was. His painting skills were impressive, the painting of the walls were incredibly consistent, smooth and no holidays were ever visible. All in all the project went extremely well, he finished in a timely manner, was consistent in his work ethic and above all was clean and neat. He was always on time and the quality was remarkable. If another project presents itself, I would not hesitate to contact Michael at Nobleport Contracting.
