"She stood out not only from the other contractors, but from contractors in general. During the entire process she was available to answer my questions or give advice and always responded in a timely manner. For me, it is of the utmost importance that I can trust and truly rely on people with whom I do business - especially those who come into my home. Lori and her employees proved very trustworthy, punctual, and apt. I was actually shocked by the high quality and attention to detail - they even went beyond what was listed in the original quote when I changed my mind TWICE about which wallpaper I wanted hung. Adam, who works for Lori and did the painting and wallpaper installation, is an expert painter who can paint a stunning mural by hand or paint letters or phrases with expert precision - he is a true artist. Like Lori, who has a background in interior design, Adam also has an excellent eye for design and helped us to find the perfect, and final, wallpaper- which by the way is GORGEOUS, and he even went out of his way to meet us at a design store where the wallpaper samples were located. We plan to use LMD for several projects of different scales down the road. To be clear, LMD does do small jobs like mine, but they can and have remodeled entire houses, and built homes from foundation to completion. Based on other reviews and references, my own experiences of working with various contractors over the past 15 yrs, and most importantly my experience as a LMD client, I can say without a doubt that this company is one of a VERY FEW who possess the rare qualities of dexterity, expertise and trustworthiness that set them apart from other companies. Metaphorically speaking, you could compare LMD to a restaurant that has, for instance, 100 + menu items that vary from sushi to lasagna; are all reasonably priced, consist only of high quality ingredients, are expertly prepared never fluctuating in consistency, and promptly arrive at your table."

What is a general contractor?

A general contractor is a professional who is qualified to take a set of building plans and construct them as outlined.
